English Language Requirements

Students from non-native English speaking countries before applying to American College must submit the following test scores. The scores should not be older than 2 years. Failing to showcase a minimum score will result in the rejection of the application.

Exceptions to this requirement are:

  • If the applicant was educated in an English-speaking country for at least five years.
  • If the applicant has completed a minimum of six months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian school.
  • If the applicant has completed his/her High School in the English Language.
  • If the applicant has completed the AC English Placement Test.
  • Certificate IV or Higher of AQF qualification.
  • An applicant with 5.0 bands in IELTS or equivalent TOEFL scores will be considered if he/she has completed the ELICOS program for at least 10 weeks.

Note: The school also conducts an in-house English Placement Test for offshore applicants from Level 1 & 2 countries only.
