Deakin University is a renowned university that offers courses in many aspects and is one of the top-tier universities in Australia. Deakin turned out to be a better option for me as it offered me the course that interested me the most. Besides, Deakin offering me a scholarship was also one of the reasons I went to university.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum is exemplary, where the primary focus of tutors is to provide real-world examples that they link to theoretical concepts. This allows for creating an awareness of how to deal with practical situations. The course syllabus is always updated with teachers sharing news with our students on trending topics.

Exams :

6.0 in all bands and 6.0 overall in IELTS is also required. To be eligible to apply to Deakin University, your CGPA in the university must be 2.5 or above.

Placement :

Currently, I do not know if Deakin offers placement after study or not as I am currently in my final year and this is the year where I will be working on a capstone project with senior professionals. But I believe Deakin does offer placements for students who have performed well during their studies.

Internship :

No, I didn't get an internship.

Events :

Deakin's state-of-the-art campus is replete with indoor gyms, lecture theatres, study spaces, spacious libraries, Mac labs and many more. Deakin's exclusive club known as DUSA (Deakin University Student Association) allows students to join their own group and enjoy benefits such as discounts on books, clothing, party tickets, and more.

Fees :

$14000 (including 20% ??scholarship) per quarter. This fee is for my program Masters in Cyber ??Security Professional. Other course fees may vary.

Scholarship :

Yes, I have got a 20% scholarship which is around $3000 dollars towards my current fees.

Faculty :

The faculty is highly professional, providing students with the best teaching methods, whether theoretical or practical. The teachers are also very sensitive and helpful towards the students which was especially seen in the time of covid, giving ample time to the students to do their assignments and rewarding them fairly in every way. One of the professors named Mr. Lei Pan was one of the best teachers I studied with. His attitude toward the students was also positive, encouraging, and motivating the students throughout the entire unit.

Hostel :

For a student living in Australia, the average rent a student has to bear is $500 (excluding bills), and the bill will include utilities ($150-200). Dorms are expensive since living on campus will range from an average of $700-800 depending on the type of room.
