Well structured and job prospects - McGill University

V
7.7 /10

McGill is considered one of the best Universities. In addition to this, it was cheaper than UBC and UofT. The course offered was really good and it good location.

Course Curriculum :

The course is well structured. It is not old and the content of the course is very important to get jobs. It covers all the important parts of my field and hence is really good for research and job prospects.

Exams :

My IELTS score was overall 7.5 with 8.5 in listening, 8 in reading, 7 in writing, and 6.5 in speaking respectively.

Placement :

I am still in my 2nd year, so I am not aware of such things, but there are lots of companies that visit McGill including Google and Ubisoft. So I would say that it is all good.

Internship :

Not yet.

Events :

The campus is pretty big. The buildings look really good. The campus is really clean. There are lots of research opportunities in McGill and McGill provides lots of resources for research. The clubs are really good for extracurricular activities.

Fees :

44000 CAD per year.

Scholarship :

I got a James McGill's entrance scholarship which was 3000 CAD.

Faculty :

It varies from class to class. But there are generally 80 students in the class. But the professor provides us with a lot of time during their office hours. They are always willing to help us.

Hostel :

I live in a shared room with one of my friends. If you want a single room, it is around 700-800 CAD. It is not that expensive considering the apartment are downtown.
