Master of International Master of Business Administration at York University is offered as a 20-28 months program.
It is an on-course program offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.
The IMBA is a 5-term program that is full-time in the first year (terms 1-3). Students may change to part-time status in the second year (terms 4 or 5) (20-28 months)
The Schulich International MBA (IMBA) is a specialized MBA program for Canadian and international students who want to launch a career in international business and stand out from the crowd.
IMBA students are encouraged to add a second functional specialization to their degree and require only 9.00 credits to fulfill a specialization requirement.

IMBA students complete an international work term between the first and second year (work in Canada if they are an international student or abroad if they are a Canadian student).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students should hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum B average in the last two full years (or equivalent) of academic work.
The bachelor’s degree must comprise of 90 credits (a bachelor's degree with or without honors).
Proof of English language proficiency is required if student’s studies were not completed in English.

Work Experience Eligibility:

Minimum two years of relevant post-degree, full-time work experience or life experience
Applicants with 3-year degrees may be considered for admission with one year of work experience.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Submission of GRE/GMAT scores is compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum GRE-309/GMAT-550 for better a chance of admission.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

VISA & Work Study

VISA

A Student VISA authorizes students to study in Canada legally.
International students will receive their Student VISA in the form of a paper document which will usually be attached to the passport at the Canadian port of entry.
Temporary Resident Visas (TRVs), commonly called Entry Visas, are to be obtained by foreign nationals who require visas to enter Canada, while Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) allows foreign nationals from visa-exempted countries to enter Canada without a visa.

Work Study

Eligibility:

The student must have a valid study permit for the period of employment.
He/She should meet the specific skills and experience requirements set by the sponsoring department.

Restrictions:

All students are permitted to accept one Work-Study position only per program period.
Non-degree students (i.e. visiting students, students on a LOP) are not eligible for Work-Study.
Students are not eligible to hold a work-study position in the same term in which they are holding an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (or equivalent).

Salary Rate:

Hourly rates vary with the nature of the job, the scope of responsibilities, and work experience.
The salary range will be indicated on the job posting and/or students will be advised by the employer during the interview.
Work/study students are paid by their hiring department through York's payroll system.
