I rented a house in Ottawa. You can find lots of places to rent in Canada. Renting a place is better than staying at the university. You will save a lot.

Carleton University has a separate Data Science Lab and they specialize in Data Science. I can choose courses from either Carleton or Ottawa and thus have the advantage of studying at another branded university. I could shape my master's curriculum. I can study whatever I want. This is what I studied about ML in my Master's. Carleton has an underground tunnel to keep you warm while you go to university in the winter. They have well-knowledgeable faculty. They cover more material and the exams are tougher but you will benefit from learning many things. Carleton is one of the best institutions if you want to tailor your master's to your interests. You have the option of taking courses outside your department. I took two courses outside my department.

No, I don't live on campus as it is out of my budget. Most of the international students live in rented accommodations off-campus which are preferred and cost nearly 300-400 CAD.

Carleton University is one of the highly ranked universities in Canada and is located in I capital of Ontario i.e. Ottawa which is one of the best places for international students in terms of Job Opportunities and facilities. Furthermore, the University has its alumni placed in high-ranked companies which is a big plus point to join Carleton.

I learned about this college through word of mouth from older friends who went there. The admission process was very easy (like most other Ontario universities done through OUAC). I applied to three other universities (Toronto, Laurentian, and Windsor). I choose this university because when touring the school I realized how nice the campus was- everything is conveniently together in one campus and there is a very warm sense of community there. The students are kind and the profs care about students. There is always help for anything you are experiencing. Ottawa itself provides the capital city advantage with lots of volunteer and job opportunities as well as delicious restaurants, lots of services, and tourism. I was an A student in grade 12.

I stayed at home with my parents and commuted to school. It is more financially feasible to do this than to live on your own and pay your own bills. Residence can be quite pricy, but is worth it considering there are tunnels that can take you to and from class without going outside.

Least expensive University in the Ottawa area. The only other option is Ottawa University and their tutition is almost a third more expensive. This was the only University I applied to, therefore I did not spend a lot of time or money applying to different schools. I believe that the application price was just over $200.

Living on campus is a very easy way to meet new people, at my university the meal plan is included in tuition which is great! I also had a resident fellow, which I'm assuming all residents have.

Good school for the program I wanted to take, and the city I study in is very big in the career path I'm hoping to take. Got a scholarship and an award, out of the 5 schools I got accepted to it was the highest amount of money. Wanted to go to this school since I knew I was going to university. I took law in high school and knew that was the path I wanted to take, and within the program, I am in I learn about so many interesting things.

It’s in Ottawa, which is very helpful for my major. So much history has happened here and is happening. I also really liked how close the campus is. It’s really contained but still big enough that you feel like you’re somewhere new.

Off campus as mentioned above, until I moved out last year. Financially challenging but I would rather struggle financially than struggle with control or power over my own day. (Family involved/controlled me and I walked on eggshells because I wanted to go to the gym, study or was at work.) mental health has no price in comparison.I am doing much better on my own in all other ways imaginable.

Studied in Israel for Highschool, had a hard time readjusting back to learning in English. Carleton has a program where you are a full time student, but take 3 courses with extra tutorials and support. It brought my grades up to par and I was accepted into my program. I also knew that financially, it made more sense to be at home. I was originally in international business, where I was to do an exchange, but I swapped into a bcom in order to pursue entrepreneurship. I am keeping my minor in German.

On my own by part time job and also we have a gic account that helps to keep up with our daily expenses and residential expenses. If you have skills in particular field than you can earn by that canada is a place where your talent is always appreciated.

Because of the masters specialized fields in signal speech and image processing. I always wants to do the research with their professional in this field and carleton university has professors that have a ongoing projects for this field. Carleton has an internship program for research students and also they offers TA to them.

Great programs offered to the students. I was originally deciding against Ottawa University and Carleton then I Chose Carleton because they seem to focus a little more on the needs of the students and providing help where they can whereas you seemed to be on your own at Ottawa.
