Campus and Residential Facilities

The campus is located in Montreal’s Griffintown neighborhood and comprises of 4 buildings. It is houses a library and a cafeteria. The campus is easily accessible by public transport.

The library has an extensive collection of nearly 39,000 printed materials, 25,000 electronic journal subscriptions and 86 databases.

Students can also avail benefits of 100 Génies Resto-Pub, entirely run by ETS students.

Housing facilities/residence

The School housing facility can accommodate as many as 1,100 students in two residential buildings. Accommodations available are studio, 1 BHK, 2 BHK, 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments. Some of the prominent facilities available are given below.

All you need to know about the Application Process

Besides providing your transcripts for secondary school or post-secondary education, one of the primary requirements for enrolling at the School is being proficient in the French language.

Prerequisites

The following scores and exams can prove your proficiency in the language.

  • TFI score- 605
  • DELF score- B2
  • DALF score- C1 and C2
  • TCF score- B1, C1, and C2
  • Successfully completing the Uniform Test of French, Language of Teaching and Literature at a Canadian French-language college of Quebec
  • Successfully completed an institutional exam administered by a French-language University in Quebec

Alternatively, you can show that either

  • Your secondary school studies were conducted in French, or
  • You have completed 3 years of study in the French language at any University

Candidates who wish to enroll in Ph.D. programs with an Applied Research profile or Master's programs with thesis are further required to prove their proficiency in the English language. Tests and required scores are mentioned below:

  • TOEIC- 605
  • TOEFL- 61 and above (iBT); 500 and above (paper-based)
  • IELTS- 6 and above

Application Fee

The non-refundable application fee for all applicants regardless of their region of origin is CAD $44. This is payable via credit card.

Work While You Study

On Campus

Students who experience financial difficulties can work on campus while studying at the institute through the work-study program. International students must be enrolled in a full-time course and have a valid study permit.

Students have to submit a request to be considered for this program. Once they are deemed eligible, they will be issued an eligibility certificate.

Co-op Programs

Bachelor’s and Master’s students can pursue internships with companies through the co-op program. Students can work 39-40 hours a week. There are 4 co-op levels. The remuneration varies between $12,840 and $15,260 per 4-month work term.

Off-Campus

Students can also work off campus while studying at the School. They will have to fulfill the following conditions.

  1. Must be a full-time student
  2. Have a valid study permit
  3. Studying to obtain a degree, diploma or certificate with duration of at least 6 months

After graduation, nearly 60% of students find employment in small and medium-sized enterprises and industry. ETS students have a significant edge over engineering graduates from other institutions because of ETS’ mandatory three-internship requirement for students where students gain one year of work experience in the duration of their studies.
