Admission Guidelines

Selection of the candidate to the integrated Ph.D programmes is done on the basis of entrance examination (70%) and viva-voice (30%), both conducted by the university.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with a Master's degree in any branch of science or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Medicine or Pharmacy.
Applicants having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g., CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, etc.), DST-INSPIRE, or other equivalent fellowship.
Candidates qualified in the GATE/GPAT examination with a minimum of 85 percentile may also apply.

Selection Process

Applications will be shortlisted online and the eligible candidates will be called for a computer based written test at one of their preferred centers among the 19 test centers.
Applicants qualifying in the written test and having a valid fellowship for pursuing a Ph.D. will be shortlisted to appear for an interview at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology.
Applicants qualifying both preliminary exams and the final interview will be selected for pursuing a Ph.D. at CCMB.
