Erode Arts and Science College, Erode, Tamil Nadu is an autonomous college established in 1972. Since then, it has provided quality education at undergraduate, post graduate and research levels. The institute provides courses across all the three streams- Science, Commerce and Arts.

The institute is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and is recognised by UGC and AICTE. The institute was re-accredited by NAAC with a “B+” grade. Various scholarship options are provided by the institute for the needy and meritorious students.

The following scholarship options are available to the students:

  • Backward Class Welfare State Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students belonging to backward classes if their parents’ annual income is less than INR 50,000.
  • Harijan Welfare Scholarship Under State Scheme: Students belonging to AD converts having parents’ annual income less than INR 60,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Scholarship to Physically Handicapped Students: Director of Social Welfare, 485-Anna Salai, Nandaman, Madras publishes the notification in “The Hindu” every year to avail this scholarship.
  • Fee Concessions: Students belonging to Backward Classes and whose parent’s annual income from all sources is less than INR 15,000 are provided with Full / Half Fee concession.

  • Computer Cell: The computer cell of the college is facilitated with LAN connection and is accessible even after college hours on all working hours.
  • Library: The central library of the college follows Open Access System and contains 40465 titles and 53737 volumes along with many journals, magazines, CD’s/DVD’s and question banks.
  • Hostel: The institute has a boy’s hostel with a capacity of 200 students. A hostel room is shared by 4 students. The hostel is provided with all facilities such as playground, reading room, recreation room, medical facilities and mess.
  • Sports: The institute has playgrounds for all outdoor games including track events and sports complex for indoor games. The department also has Audio-Visual equipment along with television and CD/DVD on physical fitness and yoga.
