How are the placements at the Goa Institute of Management? What are the companies that recruit from the GIM?

One of my friends recently completed his PGDM from the Goa Institute of Management and told me that the placement Statistics of the institute are very misleading. GIM claims that big companies like Big FM, Grand Thornton, RB, and Zee Media visited the campus for placements but in reality, they never visited the campus. Many students were forced to opt out of placements so that they can show a 100% placement percentage in their placement reports. Moreover, you will have to pay so many fines that all your savings will dry up. Earlier GIM was indeed a promising Institute but recently is on the verge of deterioration owing to the irresponsibility of the administration.

Is the new PGDM BDA at Goa Institute of Management good? How is its placement scenario?

The PGDM Big Data Analytics course is definitely a very good choice for someone who is interested in this field. GIM is among the top MBA colleges in India and has been maintaining the 100% placement mark for a long time. The PGDM big data analytics is a techno-managerial course that has a 6:4 ratio of Analytics and Managerial concepts. This means that you will be working on managerial courses and also on how data is used in them. The teaching methodology adopted is case-based. Students are required to work real-time on cases as a group or individually and have to come up with viable solutions.

Which one is better among SIMSREE, KJSIMR, IMT Ghaziabad, Great Lakes Chennai & GIM Goa in terms of placement?

SIMSREE is the best option among these B-Schools. It offers excellent ROI. SIMSREE fees are approximately around INR 69k for MBA. While the median CTC offered to the students is INR 10.5 LPA. Situated in Mumbai, it also enjoys a locational advantage. As its easier to get placements opportunities and internships. IMT Ghaziabad and KJSIMR are the next best choices. IMT G has a better placement record. As per the 2022 placement highlights, IMT Ghaziabad average package s around INR 15.57 LPA.

How is the average package at Goa institute of management?

GIM Placement 2023: Average Package: INR 14.87 LPA & Highest Package: INR 60.4 LPA

Goa Institute of Management also Known as GIM Goa has concluded the placement drive for the batch 2023 with 100% placements. The Highest International Package of INR 60.4 LPA, the Highest Domestic Package of INR 55 LPA & Average Package of INR 14.87 LPA was offered to the PGDM Students.

GIM has released its placement report for the batch of 2022 with a 12% increase in the PGDM Average Salary which stood at INR 12.1 LPA and the Highest Salary stood at INR 30.2 LPA. Over 240 offers were made to 247 students and a total of 61 recruiters participated in the placement drive among which 13 were first time recruiters.
