What students say about Guru Nanak College

Likes

  • The teacher is great in their field, as they have a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Our college provides internship facilities. We have a separate staff to handle students with internships from good companies, in order to develop relations with interior business and to familiarize students with company behavior.
  • Almost every company dealing with the finance and banking sector will come for a campus interview because we are the best in accounting and finance.
  • They provide scholarships for underprivileged students and also for great sportsmen. I think this helps them to overcome the poverty of their personal problems.
  • In Guru Nanak College, there is a 25-acre green campus. The campus is very beautiful and spacious.
  • Though I have not tried the hostel facility, I learned from my colleagues that the facility was very good and the canteen facility and food were very good.
  • Very good management and staff. Well-structured atmosphere in Chennais top 10 colleges, with most leading Gnc colleges.

Dislike

  • The curriculum was average, and so was the exam structure. Exam rules are not strictly followed, and the curriculum was not strong enough. Subjects are not vast; they are very short.
  • I still know that a few of my friends had internships with the College Management. One senior, in fact, worked with the College Office in the Accounts and Operations department and later got an opportunity to work for the University.
  • Its disappointing for us to explore the companies; we didnt get any experience on industrial visits. Therefore, hands-on experience in my MCA course is poor.
  • Who all came from middle class and very poor people are also getting scholarships from our college, but loan facilities are not available.
  • College is very bad at extracurricular activities; they dont do anything. They are just running the business in the name of college.
  • I have opted for a hostel that includes food, water, and sanitation. However, the hostel facility is not very good, and many students feel unhappy about the food due to irresponsibility in its preparation.
  • As I am from North India, I have many difficulties talking to my classmates as most of them are South Indians who are not able to speak Hindi.
