National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management [NIASM] was established in 2009 and is located at Baramati. The institute comes under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The institute aims at exploring the avenues for management of abiotic stresses affecting the very sustainability of national food production systems. National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management strives to enhance capacity of scientists and policy makers by imparting knowledge and by providing the state-of-art facilities for multidisciplinary and multi-commodity research. It is a Global Centre of Excellence and provides quality education through an excellently developed curriculum.
