Lourdes College of Nursing also known as LCN Cochin is a part of the Lourdes Society for Health Care & Research. It was established in the year 2002 and located in Cochin in Kerala state. LCN offers 4 courses across 1 stream in Nursing. At UG level LCN offers B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc, while at postgraduate level college offers M.Sc in five different streams. LCN Cochin also offers a diploma program in General nursing and Midwifery.

Students who have passed 10+2 in PCB from a recognized Board are eligible to apply for B.Sc programs. Admission to B.Sc courses is based on merit.

For P.B.B.Sc Nursing, candidates must have completed a 3-year GNM course with 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates should be in the rank list published by the LBS Centre for Science & Technology or Supervisory Committee, Govt. of Kerala. 

For the M.Sc course, candidates must have completed their graduation in a relevant field. Admission to the M.Sc course will be based on the candidate's performance in the KEAM examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Government of Kerala. 

Candidates who are willing to take admission in the GNM course must have completed 10+2 with PCB. Selection will be based on merit and interview.

  • Admission to its BSc, P.B.B.Sc, and GNM courses are based on the candidate's performance in his/her last qualifying examination.

Ques. What is the pattern of the KEAM examination conducted by the Government of Kerala?

Ans. KEAM 2021 comprises two papers – Paper I and Paper II

  • Questions for Paper I are set from – Physics and Chemistry. Paper-II will include questions from Mathematics only.
  • The questions are objective in nature i.e. MCQs with each question carrying 5 options.
  • Each paper will carry 120 questions that have to be completed in 150 minutes.
  • For correct answers, 4 marks will be awarded, while incorrect answers will invite a penalty of 1 mark.
