What students say about Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology - [CCET]

Likes

  • The course curriculum is one of the best among colleges under the affiliation of Panjab University Chandigarh, which is one of the best universities in India.
  • The college does not provide any internships, but they do have some sponsored internships for elite students. If you are highly good in academics, they will try to provide an internship to a company where you can polish your skills.
  • The placement of CSE is impressive. The highest placement this year was 15 lac, but in the upcoming two to three years, it may go up to 40 to 50 lakh.
  • Our college provides a loan facility known as Pragiti for the education of female students. Additionally, it also provides loans for male students who excel academically or perform well in sports.
  • Life on campus is literally the best; we play lots of sports as well as study.
  • The hostel fee is very low, it is only 4k per year which is very economical.
  • You want to do a leet exam from PU first in order to take admission, and there was such a beautiful and enjoyable nature of the college where I also graduated from my diploma.

Dislike

  • You must attend all the boring lectures to maintain your attendance above 75%.
  • The placement for the CSE and ECE branches is average, but for civil and mechanical, the placement is very bad.
  • I dont avail any scholarships, although there are a few scholarships that you can inquire about at the administration block.
  • As they say, the airy and 2-bedroom hostel had the worst food. The tasteless meals were served three times a day, and they couldnt cook properly in the hostel. They had to use laundry facilities for washing clothes, which was a ridiculous arrangement

Placement Experience:

placements are pretty solid in our college we get placed right when our last year begins, and there are plenty of companies that come around to recruit students from our college so it's fair to say we have a good student-employment ratio.

Remarks:

You can get admission if you have a decent enough jee mains rank it's not that hard plus it's a government college so you don't have to worry too much about campus placements either. application forms can be filled out through jac or visit the ccet website and download the brochure. there are reservation benefits as well.

Placement Experience:

The placements are maximum for the CSE and ECE students. Around 50-60 companies visit the campus for placements. The placement process starts in the 7th Semester. I am a CSE student so I will share my experience accordingly. The companies first organize an Aptitude test followed by Technical rounds followed by personal interviews. For CSE, the placement percentage is 80-90% with an average pack of 6 LPA. It is comparatively easy for computer engineers to land a job in CCET with an average package.

Remarks:

You can take admission in CCET for your bachelor's via JEE Mains and have scored at least 75% in your 12th boards (CBSE/ICSE). They have 4 braches of engineering here: Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical and Civil. You can go for CSE if you have a rank of around 50-60k and ECE if your rank is upto 80k.
