State Council of Educational Research and Training – [SCERT], New Delhi is an autonomous body of the Government of NCT of Delhi. It is approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi.

The college was established in 1988. SCERT provides full-time courses such as B.Ed. and D. El. Ed. Admission to the B. Ed program in SCERT is based on the score in IPU CET and admission to the D. El. Ed program is based on 10+2. 

Also, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree holders are eligible for applying to the B. Ed course.

How to apply?

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), New Delhi provides two different courses B. Ed and D. El. Ed. Both the courses have different entrance examinations, eligibility criteria, and selection criteria. 

SCERT allows only online mode applications.

For admission in B. Ed the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), New Delhi is affiliated to Indraprastha University. Thus Candidates have to appear for the IPU-CET examination.

The necessary steps to apply online for the B. Ed course are as follows:

  • Visit the official website of Indraprastha University www.ipu.ac.in
  • Click on the ‘admission’ tab and select the course.
  • Then click on the ‘online admission forms’ tab to fill the form.
  • Next click on the ‘B. Ed admission form’ link to fill the form.
  • You need to click on ‘Register now’ to create a new account.
  • Then you have to register through your email id and phone number.
  • The applicant will receive the login id and password on their registered mobile number or email id.
  • Using that login id and password applicants have to log in and fill up the necessary details as per the instructions.
  • Applicants are asked to read the Instructions Carefully and start to fill up the application form as per the given instruction.
  • Then, you need to fill in the necessary personal details such as name, father’s name, address, mobile no, etc mentioned in the application form.
  • Thereafter you need to fill in your educational & document details.
  • After filling in all the details, you need to upload two scanned copies of your recent passport size photo, the signature of the applicant, and the caste certificate (if any) on the application form.
  • After uploading the necessary documents successfully, proceed to make the payment.
  • A fee of INR 1000 needs to be paid through a Debit / Credit Card or e-challan of HDFC / ICICI / Canara / Syndicate Bank.
