Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya, Kolkata (NBGM) offers 12 courses across 3 streams namely Arts, Education, Commerce and Banking with various subject specialisation. Under the UG domain, it offers B.A, B.com, B.A (Honours), B.com(Honours) programs.

Like most colleges in India Naba college conducts its admission process through a specific online applications and counselling session for respective programs. The basic Eligibility for UG courses is 10+2 and graduation degree for PG courses.

For B.com and BA the candidate must have successfully passed 12th Standard/HSC/10+2. From a recognised board.
There is a general or direct admission facility for BA and B.com courses.
For Honour courses admission is taken on the basis of merit. MA in Bengali student must have completed their Bachelor's degree (preferably in Bengali)
For M.com student must have completed graduation in B.Com./ B.B.A./ B.B.S. or another equivalent degree.
For M.com Final selection will be based on the candidate's overall performance in his bachelor degree as the admission is based on merit list.

Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya, Kolkata was formerly known as Charuchandra Evening College, and was established in 1985 and the institution has been renamed as Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya (New Ballygunge College) with effect from 2005.

NBGM UG Admission 2023

NGBM offers various Under graduation and Post graduation courses to the students. It also offers some honour courses as well. In B.com specialised subjects are marketing, financing and accounting. The subjects of BA are Education, Hindi or Bengali, Economics, English, History, Political Science. These courses and other details are tabulated below.

NBGM B.com(H) and BA(H) Admission 2023

NBGM offers Full-Time B.com (H) and BA(H) courses in various specializations. The program is offered in full time regular mode for 3 years.

NGBM B.com(H) and BA(H) Eligibility

For both B.Com(H) and BA(H) programs, Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.
A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
However, Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community taking up Honours course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subjects or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be.
