Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking to get admission in a full-time program should follow the following criteria

  1. A person who has obtained a Bachelors degree of this University or of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by this University in any discipline with not less than 45 per cent marks in the aggregate (42 % per cent for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) can apply for admission to the Three Year Unitary LL.B Degree Course.
  2.  Explanation- The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation / Post graduation through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for pursuing such studies are not eligible for admission in the law course.

Admission Guidelines

(i) Nativity:- The candidate should be an Indian citizen. The candidate should upload any one of the following documents along with the online application, to prove Indian Citizenship.

(a) True copy of the birth certificate of the candidate, issued by competent birth registering authority (panchayat/ municipality/ corporation), showing place of birth in any State or Union territory of India.

(b) True copy of the relevant page of Secondary School Leaving Certificate of the candidate, showing place of birth in any State or Union territory of India.

(c) True copy of the relevant page of the passport of the candidate issued by Government of India.

(d) Certificate (in original) from a Village Officer or a competent authority to show that the candidate is a native of any State or Union Territory of India in the prescribed format.

(ii)Age:-

There is no lower age limit for admission to the 3 year LL.B course. The upper age limit for admission to the Three year LLB Course will be subject to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In case if age restriction under clause 28 of Legal Education Rules, 2008 of Bar Council of India is reinstated, only those candidates within the stipulated age limit will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination.
