There are three channels to get admissions from- IAT, KVPY, and JEE Advanced, with 25% seats for KVPY and JEE and the rest for IAT. Eligibility to appear in these exams (JEE, IAT): Fresh 12th graduate or dropper for 1 year. One can find the application form, fees, and dates by checking the official IISER admissions website. The portal opens around April each year. This year (2023), the application portal will open on 15th April and the entrance examination (IAT) is scheduled to be on 17 June. You can check the NTA website for JEE dates and the KVPY website for the KVPY exam. I suggest going for IAT as it's the easiest exam among these three and also reserves the highest number of seats. Reservation benefits: If you belong to SC/ST, you have to pay no tuition fees. But the rest of the fees will be applicable. The admission process is quite smooth and I don't have any demands for it now.
Admission to any IISER involves clearing one of two entrance exams, JEE Advanced or IAT. To apply for the SCB channel (IAT exam), a student must belong to the top 20% of their particular board in their 10+2. Application forms are often available on the IISER admissions website in May or April. The following reservations are available for the exam: General, EWS, OBC/OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and KM. The cutoff for Jee adv is between 12000 to 15000 or an IAT score of 75 or higher.
Admission to any of the 7 IISER colleges can be obtained through 3 processes or 3 channels:- JEE advanced channel, KVPY channel, and SCB channel. If any student has obtained a rank under 15,000 in JEE Advanced, he/she can apply for admission to IISERs. In the case of the KVPY channel, if anyone has qualified KVPY in class 11 or 12, he/she can apply for admission in IISERs. In the case of the SCB channel, a student has to sit in an entrance exam named IAT or IISER Admission Test. Then, depending on his/her rank in the IAT exam, he/she gets admission to IISER colleges. A student is eligible for admission in iiser only 2 times i.e. the year in which he/she has passed his/her 12 th board exams and the year following that. The application form is available on the IISER home page. Application fees and dates are available on the website and they change from year to year. OBC/SC/ST/PWD/EWS candidates need to produce their updated caste or supporting certificates to get the additional facilities.
You can get admission through 2 examinations, the 1st one is the IAT examination and the 2nd one is JEE advanced examination. Eligibility - 12th Science with 60% marks. You will find the application form and details about application fees on "iiseradmission.in" website. Yeah, there are reservation benefits.
To begin an IISERian there are three ways. 1. KVPY scholar: Those who are getting a KVPY scholarship, can apply for the admission in IISER 2. JEE Advance rank holder (rank<10000): If you secure a rank <10,000 in JEE Advance you can apply for admission. Your cast rank should be <1000. 3. IAT rank holder: You have to qualify and secure a good rank in IAT. You can apply for the exam from IISER's website. You have to visit IISER's website for more details about exam dates and application dates. For IAT, exam fees and application fees are combined. It is 2000/- for general students. For the other two ways, it is 1000/-. There is also cast reservation and reservation for the physically challenged. You can check the previous year's cut-off ranks from the website.
