IIHS Bangalore Scholarships

Urban Fellows Programme: The UFP is a nine-month scholarship-based, full-time, interdisciplinary, residential programme that consists of seven months of in-class teaching at the IIHS City Campus in Bengaluru, followed by two months of internship placements in regions where a Fellow's internship organisation is located. It combines classroom teaching, site-based applied learning, work in live projects, and external internships to introduce learners to diverse forms of urban practice. 

  • The tuition price for the UFP 2021-22 is INR 2 lakhs that covers all travel expenses for the Exposure Visits, as well as local and intercity travel expenses for UFP Practical and Applied Projects. 
  • All admitted Fellows will be required to pay a Rs 20,000 deposit to confirm their place in the programme, which will be applied to fees or returned (subject to the payment of any outstanding debts) upon successful completion of the Fellowship. Fellows in financial need can apply for a deposit waiver, which will be reviewed on an individual basis at the time of admission.
  • After an evaluation of their financial needs, the UFP is committed to giving scholarships to individuals who are accepted but unable to pay the programme tuition. 
  • There are a limited number of stipends available to cover daily living expenses for candidates with considerable financial need, in addition to scholarships that pay tuition prices. Candidates who want to be considered for this will be given the opportunity to do so on their admission forms.
