Chilarai College, Dhubri

Chilarai College, Dhubri was established in 1973. It is affiliated with Gauhati University and accredited with ‘B’ Grade by NAAC. The college was brought under the deficit grant-in-aid system in the year 1987 and University Grants Commission (UGC) listed the college under UGC Act of 2(f) and 12(B) in the year 2001. The College is located in the district of Dhubri, the western part of Assam. The College is 4 kms away from Indo-Bangladesh Border, half kms from NH-31 and approximately 22 kms from Dhubri, District Headquarter.

NCC - The NCC unit of college has following achievements-

The NCC unit has qualified 20 cadets for BSF and army in Indian Defense Staff
3 cadets have got the chance for training in P. R. D. II camp
Many cadets have done the Army attach camp and C. A. T. C. Camp in Umroi, Guwahati, Chapar and in Kokrajhar
5 cadets have done the N. I. C. camp in Hyderabad
2 cadets got the appointment in Assam Police

Facilities

Auditorium	The Chilarai Auditorium has good sitting accommodation for approximately 300 seat capacity with a large beautifully decorated dies.
Classroom	All the 12 classrooms are well furnished.
Library	The library has a reading room with a seating capacity of 150 students. The library has a collection of 6458 textbooks, 2174 reference books. It also subscribe to 4 journals, several periodicals and newspapers.
