Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF), Ernakulam is a unit of Chinmaya Mission. The Chinmaya Mission was founded in 1953 by Swami Chinmayananda, with the primary aim to spread the wisdom of Vedanta to any seeker, of any nationality, caste or group, to enrich and enable them become positive contributors to society. After the Mahasamadhi of Swami Chinmayananda in 1993, Pujya Gurudev, Swami Tejomayananda was appointed as Chairman of Central Chinmaya Mission Trust (CCMT), which is headquartered in Mumbai.
