Gurusiddappa Kotambri Law College, Hubli was established in 1974 as an evening college to cater especially to the needs of the people of this region who were very keen in enhancing their law awareness. The college is situated on the main road adjacent to several prominent educational institutions. The college is managed by K.L.E Society, which was started in 1916 by seven dedicated teachers and three generous patrons. The motive of the college is to impart quality education in law that meets the needs of those aspiring to be lawyers, to promote scholarly achievements and reach the topmost in the university and to strive for student progress, preparing them to be leaders in their profession and to think globally.

The main objective of the college is to provide a scholarly and vibrant learning environment that enables staff & students to achieve personal & professional growth, to provide the student with adequate knowledge and experience of the country's legal system and to achieve a Law Literate society by imparting quality education in law that meets the needs of aspirant lawyers.
