Maneklal Nanavati Law College, Ahmedabad was established in 1961 by the Gujarat Law Society in to cater the need of the society. The college is one of the premier institutions of the Gujarat Law Society located at Lal Darwaja, the centre of the city of Ahmedabad. In the year 1976, the name of the College was changed as “Maneklal Nanavati Law College” from the name of advocate shri Maneklal Nanavati. The motive of the college is to spread legal awareness in the society by imparting graduate as well as diploma courses in law, to appraise the citizens about their rights, to form a bridge between the academic knowledge and professional practice and to uphold the rule of law in order to secure the ends of justice.

The main objective of the college is to impart practical and ethical legal education to the root of the society and to obtain excellence in educating legal professionals and research scholars.
