You can apply for BBS course from both online and offline mode. The admission process for the same varies from college to college. BBS admissions are based on entrance exam only. Earlier BBS admissions i.e. before 2015 followed the preocedure of first entrance exam and then group discussion and personal interview. As per the new policies, now the admissions are offered on the basis of 12th standard and the entrance exam score. Few steps are given below to help you with the admission process:

  1. You either have to visit the official website of the College or the Administration office of the college to avail the application forms for admission in BBS course. Normally, admission forms are available at the college websites now-a-days for students convenience.
  2. Now you need to fill the application form as directed and then upload the relevant and asked documents. These documents involves attested  X th and XII th scorecards, caste certificate (if asked), passport size photographs, scanned signature and identity proof.
  3. Now the final step is to pay the application fee online through payment portals.
  4. Then at a notified date you have to appear for the BBS entrance examination.
  5. Once the results of the entrance exams will be announced or if the admission of any college is merit based and they release their merit list, selected candidates have to appear for the further documentation and counselling process at the notified place.

Entrance Exams conducted by different universities are also followed by the further rounds of group discussion and personal Interview. Depending upon the cutoff or the score, admissions will be provided in this course.

BBS Course: Eligibility Criteria

One should possess a minimum of 60% in 10+2 in any relevant stream with English as a mandatory subject. There’s a 5% relaxation for SC, ST and Physically disabled categories. The qualifying percentage of 10+2 varies from institute to institute.

Minimum age to join this BBS course is 18 years and there is no such upper age limit specification. 

To pursue this course you need to appear for the college or university level entrance exam too, which is further followed by the group discussion and personal interview round.

Many of the colleges offering BBS have their own entrance examinations. If you wish to pursue BBS course from a Delhi University college then you have to appear for DU-JAT entrance test.

  • DU JAT: Delhi University Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) is an entrance test conducted by university of delhi to offer admission in courses like BBS/BMS/BBE/BFIA. This exam is conducted once in a year in the month of June. To follow the important DU JAT dates, refer the below given table:

I have a few friends from KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, so I can give you some insight into their BMS course.  KJ Somiya is not a good option if you really want to pursue BMS for knowledge and not just for the sake of a degree. The teaching experience for BMS at KJ Somiya will not be satisfactory.  If you prefer knowledge over a degree, then you should go to some other better colleges such as MCC in Mulund. Ans. Having some of my friends study in both colleges, I can say that enrolling in Shaheed Sukhdev for BMS would be much more apt than that of IIM Rohtak for IPM. Both the colleges hold their places enormously but Shaheed Sukhdev will be better due to their overall educational experience. There are several reasons for choosing it, some are: BMS as compared to IPM is a much older course. The placement of Shaheed Sukhdev reached heights due to their BMS course. The highest package offered to the students of Sukhdev College was around 18 LPA (latest). You can also get a chance to do your MBA from some other top IIMs in the country later on in life. Moreover, IPM Rohtak would be taking in its second batch, and hence no point in talking about placements. Ans. In my opinion, the best course among these is IPM. Some might even think I am a little biased towards this course but in reality once you learn the advantages of this program you will change your mind. The Programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years, with each year having 3 terms of 3 months. The subjects of the initial 3 years focus on the foundation and the last 2 years have core subjects that focus on Management. The programme is designed by renowned experts. IIM-I tag Amazing infrastructure Excellent faculty  Extensive network of alumnis Peers from diverse backgrounds (The last 2 years are along with PGP students ) Great placement opportunities  Wide range of co-curricular activities Cons : Programme is new so recruiters and big companies don’t trust it much It experiences bias when compared to the old PGP model. In case one doesn't like the programme, you can not change the stream again. IPM offers very limited scope No specialization  Freshers are not much preferred in comparison to experienced placements. High fees Still if you are not convinced that IPM is the best alone the courses you mentioned, the order for the other courses is SSCBS> NMIMS> Christ The only advantage the other courses have over IPM is that their model is tried and tested and open to lesser risks.
