Nagaland BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Application Form, Dates, Eligibility, Selection Process, Counselling

BSc Agriculture is a four-year course that focuses on and imparts technical know-how and practical knowledge related to practices in agricultural science. This course deals with a wide and diverse range of topics like Plant Breeding, Genetics, Soil Science, and many more. This course aims to create practitioners of modern agricultural practices that can use techniques and practices in real-world situations.

BSc Agriculture applicants who want to apply for this course in Nagaland need to have completed their 12th grade and secured an appropriate rank in the All India Entrance Examination UG (AIEE-UG) which is conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Nagaland BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

  • It is necessary for applicants to satisfy the eligibility criteria as laid out by the ICAR. The eligibility criterion is as given.
  • The applicant must have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board or its equivalent securing at least 50% score. There is a 10% relaxation in case of candidates belonging to categories. Candidates who have compartmental exams will not be eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Nationality: Only Indian Citizens can apply.
  • Age: The applicant must be at least 16 years old on August 31, 2023.

To apply for AIEEA UG follow these steps.

  • Visit the official AIEE NTA site
  • Register yourself
  • Enter your personal details, address, and select a password
  • Log in using your credentials and start filling in the AIEE-UG form
  • Upload the images and Documents and submit the form
  • Pay the application fee

Nagaland BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Counselling

Applicants who successfully, then need to apply for the counselling process. Only those who secure a viable rank in the exam can apply for counselling. They can do so by following these steps.

  • Visit the official website of ICAR and register yourself
  • Login using your credentials
  • If you are qualified, check the seat matrix and apply in the institutes of your choice
  • Submit your form 
  • Pay the application fee

Applicants who successfully registered for counselling will be able to go through the online counselling. 3 rounds of counselling will take place where the applicants can secure seats for admissions in BSc institutes in Nagaland. The counselling will constitute of the following steps.

  • After registration and choice filling the first seat allotment round will begin
  • Applicants will need to upload their documents for verification and deposit the seat acceptance fee
  • A provisional admission letter will be generated

Ans. To apply to ICAR AIEE-UG, the registration fee for general applicants is INR 730 and INR 350 for candidates with a category. For applying to the counselling process, the registration fee is INR 2000.

Preparation Tips: Mental Ability section is mainly based on previous years papers. Most of the questions are repeated. For Chemistry, it includes areas of Organic, Inorganic and Physical. For Organic, you must have knowledge of the mechanism of basic reactions of addition, substitution, elimination with popular named reactions like Cannizaro, Williamson, Wurtz, OMDM, HBO etc. Inorganic has basic trends of periodic table, Solubility, thermal decomposition. Chemical bonding and coordination. For Physical, revise all the basic questions of equilibrium, electrochemistry, Solubility, Surface Chemistry, Chemical kinetics, Thermodynamics and Mole Concept. For Biology, read class 11th and 12th NCERT Books. Study plant diversity, animal Diversity, Human and Plant Physiology. The exam is around 2 hours so the paper is not difficult or lengthy.
