For admission to B. Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, the candidate is needed to have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects and Chemistry or any other technical subject. The minimum percentage required is 50% aggregate in the 3 major subjects, however, it could be higher for some universities. Selection of eligible candidates (10+2 qualified with relevant subjects) is based either on the AIR in JEE Mains or marks obtained in the national/State level or university level entrance examinations.

Generally, admission to B. Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is based on performance in the entrance examinations- State level or national levels engineering entrance examinations such as AIEEE or JEE or university level entrance exams such as VITEEE or SRMJEEE.   • SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE)SRMJEEE is a national- level online examination conducted each year in the month of April by SRM University, Chennai, for candidates willing to enroll themselves to undergraduate courses. Applications forms are available in November and the last date to submit the online application is in the last week of March. The university offers direct admission to top rank holders in central and State board examination and/ or top 1000 IIT JEE rank holders.
  • West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB)WBJEE is a State level entrance examination held for the purpose of conducting Joint Entrance Examination for admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in medical, engineering and technological courses. The examination is held in the month of April every year and application forms are made available in January.
  • Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) – Conducted by the Anna University for admission into engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. Application forms are available in the month of May every year and counselling begins in the 1st week of July. Forms are available online on the official website of Anna University. The TNEA selection process differs for candidates belonging to reserved categories, therefore, aspirants should check the admission/selection process and eligibility criteria before filling out the application forms.

Ans. Kalyani University is a very popular institution and pursuing an engineering degree from this university has its own pros and cons. Some of my friends studied there and here are the things I got to know from them. Pros  This institution is owned and run by the government. The complete fees for your 4 years of graduation is less compared to other private colleges. The faculty of this college is very good and all other staff members such as lab assistant, office staff, canteen staff are very helpful.  The university also hires some external professors having years of industry experience to teach and guide the students.  This gets them accustomed to the corporate culture.  The total number of students in this department is less so you will always have the chance to interact with your professors. Cons One of the biggest demerits of this university is that it doesn't have a proper placement cell in its campus.  Securing a job offer is tough, and you have to take the initiative yourself. The infrastructure of this college is average. The computer lab, electronics lab, instrumentation lab don't have adequate facilities.  The campus is located in a remote area. Ans. Having known some people studying in these colleges, I can tell you that both colleges are really good in their own ways. But, you should consider the following before you make any decision: KJ Somaiya has slowly improved over the years and now is considered much better than Mumbai University (MU). Vivekanand is known to keep track of attendance which is not the case with KJ Somaiya. If you are considering doing Electronics, you should know that Electronics and Telecommunications has an upper edge. The exams at KJ Somaiya are tougher than MU. This is because MU repeats a lot of previous years’ questions. You will get a 5 day holiday in MU before a semester paper. At KJ, you will only get a day or two. Ans. EE at IIT Dhanbad is unquestionably superior to NIT Calicut’s ECE. According to some of my friends studying at IIT Dhanbad, you should never lose the chance of studying at IIT Dhanbad.  So far as the branch is concerned, there is a minor difference.  ECE is more concerned with IT than EE.  But it doesn't matter if you're in a prestigious institution.  In reality, almost all branch students learn to code and apply to tech companies at IIT. You will have plenty of opportunities to learn whatever you want at the institution.  It is entirely up to you whether you want to work in core companies or IT companies after completing EE. The students usually study the syllabus of the electronic branch that includes learning low-level languages along with the complete command of them.  There is a very high demand for highly skilled engineers who know the top programming languages like TopCoder, GitHub, and many more.  Learning these languages totally depends upon the person that they can do without going to college. Becoming an electronics engineer totally depends upon the person, and their effort, not the college.  Some of the students follow the GATE syllabus to enter into the government sectors.  Some get recruitment in top private companies by learning these programming languages. The college can help you out only by giving a proper study environment that can promote your overall development.  If you wish to join the private sector, then only the placement facility provided by the college is useful to you. Our college has a special branch for placements with name Training and placement office where they help and groom every student to get through the placement process and get hired by company that come to our college. We have 2 to 3 classes every week on placements. The major companies that hire us are TCS, CAPGEMINI, WIPRO, GENPACT, AMAZON, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes, the branch I got in the college is very rare nearly 2 or 3 colleges had this branch. Comparing with them our college is very best with all the labs and infrastructure that made me to get good knowledge on my subject. We have very good curriculum so we can attend both theory and lab classes. I can test our knowledge with timely exams.

Admission :

After completing my intermediate, I wrote EMCET (for telangana) entrance and I got a seat in the college and it is based on merit. Reason behind choosing this college is it in the top 10 private colleges of our state. I also heard the infrastructure and the faculty are good. So I can have good future.
