However, in some cases, M.Tech students are considered, like in research and development-oriented jobs. However, most industries prefer B.Tech over M.Tech.  After pursuing M.Tech your area gets narrower due to which the situation becomes very tricky for both the employers and the candidates applying for. Most IT companies offer such packages and not many are aware of this and give in to low packages. You need to prepare well for the interview beforehand. Here are a few ways you can ace your interview and grab a good package and role. Right from the beginning, start learning at least one programming language. Master either Java or C++ and also understand the basics of other programming languages. Become proficient in Data Structures and Algorithms.
