Eligibility for M.Tech. in Power Electronics and Drives

As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:

  • Graduation (B. Tech/B.E.) in any of EEE, ECE, E&I, Electronics, and Instrumentation, completed from a recognized university

The faculty are very helpful and will help in every way both academically as well as publishing in your journals. Bangalore Campus: Here the course is offered by the Computer Science department. IIT Dhanbad is an older institution than IIT Bhubaneswar and offers a large alumni base. IIT Dhanbad ranks 42 among Indian universities. If you are interested in taking up a research-based course that focuses more on academics you can opt for MTech in EEE from IIT Bhubaneswar but if you are looking for placements then a BTech in EEE from IIT Dhanbad will be better. As IIT Dhanbad is a more reputed Institute when it comes to reliability. 75% students are placed in IIT Dhanbad in this year in the EEE department (BTech). The average salary offered to an EEE graduate is 15.5 lakhs per annum. MTech Students from IIT Bhubaneswar have a 68% placement rate in Core Engineering Departments, being offered a salary package of 10-16 lakhs per annum. Campus Life :

We used to have alumni on our college premises. The technical cultural fest used to be once in a year. There is a separate library for each and every department and in the whole college, the library was separate. The library is the best place in the whole university where we can find many books journals and at the most discipline was the main thing that attracted people to move towards the library.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I've chosen power electronics on my personal interest. The faculty were very strong in the subject as they possess a doctorate.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got admission through the GATE rank. So I used to get financial assistance of 12400 per month. My fee was 15000 per year.
