CET Delhi 2022 is held every year to offer admissions in the full-time diploma programmes in technical as well as non-technical courses in Polytechnic Institutes of Delhi. CET Delhi 2022 Entrance Exam is also conducted for providing admissions through lateral entry in full-time diploma engineering programmes.

There are 5 Tests under CET Delhi Polytechnic 2022 depending upon the courses opted by the applicants. CET Delhi Exam Pattern

CET Delhi 2022 Exam Pattern

CET Delhi is conducted at State level. It is an offline mode Pen Paper-based Test. The candidates have to select one of the five Tests. CET Delhi Exam Pattern consists of 150 questions and the duration of the exam is 150 minutes. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer marked by the candidate. CET Delhi 2022 Exam Pattern for different tests is given below: -

  • Test-1: The question paper contains questions from Physics (40 questions), Chemistry (30 questions), Mathematics (50 questions), Biology (15 questions) and English (15 questions)
  • Test-2: The question paper contains sections of English Comprehension including Grammar (60 questions), Current Affairs (45 questions) and Logical & Analytical Ability (45 questions).
  • Test-3: The question paper contains sections of Hindi Comprehension including Grammar (60 questions), Current Affairs (45 questions) and Logical & Analytical Ability (45 questions).
  • Test-4: The question paper contains a total of 210 questions, out of which students have to attempt only 150 questions. The question paper will contain questions from Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), Mathematics (60 questions) and Biology (60 questions). Physics & Chemistry are the compulsory subjects while there is a choice between Biology & Mathematics subjects.
  • Test-5: The question paper will contain questions of Physics (60 questions), Chemistry (30 questions) & Mathematics (60 questions).

CET Delhi 2022 Syllabus

CET Delhi 2022 Syllabus is mostly based on 10th or 12th class standard of CBSE board. There are 5 types of tests in Delhi CET Polytechnic exam. The syllabus & exam pattern of every test is different. Candidates need to carefully plan and prepare CET Delhi 2022 Syllabus. Candidates should focus on all the units while preparing for Polytechnic Examination.

  • Test-1- CET Delhi Test-1 is conducted for 10th based engineering/non-engineering diploma courses. The question paper contains questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English. The question paper is prepared as per the CBSE syllabus of class IX and class X.
  • Test-2- Candidates who wish to take admission in diploma courses in Modern Office Practice – English need to appear in this test. Test 2 is also organized for admission to one-year certificate courses in Retail Services & Finance Executive, Hospitality Operations. It includes questions of English Comprehension including Grammar of class 12th level, Current Affairs and Logical & Analytical Ability.
  • Test-3- This test is organized for providing admission to the diploma course in Modern Office Practice – Hindi. Questions from Hindi Comprehension including Grammar of class 12th level, Current Affairs and Logical & Analytical Ability will be asked in the examination.
  • Test-4- This test is for candidates seeking admission in diploma courses in Pharmacy. The paper will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Physics & Chemistry are the compulsory subjects while there is a choice between Biology & Mathematics subjects. Candidates can prepare for this test from the 10th, 11th & 12th class syllabus of CBSE board.
  • Test-5- This test is for lateral entry admission in diploma courses. ITI/10+2 pass outs can appear in this test. The question paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Candidates can prepare for this test from the 10th, 11th & 12th class syllabus of CBSE board.

Exam Day Instructions

CET DELHI 2022 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates are required to follow these procedure step by step inside the Examination Hall:

  • Fifteen minutes before the commencement of the test, each candidate will be given a sealed test booklet with an answer sheet placed inside it.
  • Each candidate is expected to fill the required particulars on the cover page of the test booklet with a black ballpoint pen only immediately on receipt of the test booklet, He/she will not be allowed to open the seal of the test booklet until asked to do so by the invigilator.
  • He/she is also required to read all the instructions given on the cover page of the Test Booklet.
  • Five minutes before the commencement of the test, the candidate will be asked to break open the seal of the test booklet.
  • He/she should take out the answer sheet carefully so that no stray mark of any kind is made on the answer-sheet.
  • Proper precaution should be taken so that no portion of the paper tape may stick to the answer sheet and close the test booklet.
  • Candidates should check carefully that the Test Booklet Code filled on the Answer Sheet is the same as that printed on the Test Booklet.
  • Candidates will then write the required particulars on both sides of the answer sheet with a black ballpoint pen as already explained.
  • The test will start exactly at the scheduled time, as mentioned in the Admit card and an invigilator will make the announcement for the same.
  • During the test, the invigilator will check the Admit cards of all the candidates and get their signature on admit card, attendance sheet and also thumb impression on the attendance sheet to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.
  • The invigilator will also put his/her signature in the place provided for the purpose in the OMR sheet on Side – 1.
  • The Invigilator will collect the filled admit card on which an attested photograph has been pasted from all the candidates in the examination hall.
  • The candidates are advised to make sure that all the particulars required in the test booklet and the answer sheet, particularly the Roll No. and the test booklet code, have been correctly written and filled on both sides of OMR Sheet before handing over the test booklet and the answer sheet to the invigilator.
  • A signal/Bell will be given at the beginning of the test, at halftime and at the end of the test.
  • After the end of the specified time, all candidates must stop marking the responses and hand over his/her Test Booklet and OMR Sheet to the Invigilator in the room/hall.
