CUSAT CAT 2023 exam pattern is released by the university. As per CUSAT CAT 2023 exam pattern, the exam will be held in online mode for 3 hours. The University will conduct the exam from April 29 to May 1, 2023, 2023, to provide students admission into various courses, including, B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Phil, M.Voc, MCA, B.Sc, M.Sc, B.A.LLB, LLM.
- CUSAT CAT 2023 will contain around 150 questions for all major courses except engineering.
- The engineering exam will contain 250 questions and the exam for Lateral entry students will contain 200 questions the exam will be conducted for 3 hours.
- Each question will be allotted 3 marks for the correct answer and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.
- Questions will be framed as per the syllabus and equal weightage will be given to all topics.

The candidate should understand one thing very clearly for every incorrect answer the -1 will be deducted from the paper and for every correct answer the candidate will be awarded +3 respectively.
The candidate needs to at least score a minimum of 10 marks in each subject to acquire a name in the merit list (the qualification will solely depend on the score in the CUSAT CAT 2023 exam).
The university according to its instruction won’t entail any negative marking to the candidate for any unanswered questions. If the question in the exam is wrong, then the candidate is destined to get full marks on that very question, as per the instruction from the university concerned.

The candidate applying for the CUSAT CAT 2023 will have to follow a certain set of instructions on the exam day so as to avoid complications.
- Candidates will be given a rough sheet for working and calculations.
- You can carry a set of stationary inclusive of a pen, paper, eraser, sharpener, and scale.
- Electronic items of any kind are prohibited inside the exam hall.
