Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE) will release the notification for JEECUP 2023 tentatively in January 2023. As per JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2023, a candidate should have passed their 10th class with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. The offline exam will be conducted from June 6 to June 12, 2023, for all groups. 

  • Candidates who are appearing in class 12 or have passed class 12 can also register for JEECUP 2023.
  • Candidates should be a minimum of 14 years old as of July 1, 2023.
  • Only candidates holding the domicile of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to apply for JEECUP exam.

JEECUP Course wise Eligibility 2023

The minimum pass marks as per JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2023 are 35% in class 10 and they differ from course to course. The table provided below depicts the course wise minimum marks required by a candidate to apply for JEECUP 2023:

F Post Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology (Tissue culture) B.Sc. passed with Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry
G Post Graduate Diploma course Graduate in any discipline (passed/ appeared)
H Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology 12th passed with 50% marks for Unreserved/ OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST
I Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering 12th Science passed and aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. PH/Colorblind candidates not allowed.
J Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Engineering diploma passed from UPBTE affiliated institute
K1 to K7 Lateral Entry (Engineering & Technology Diploma Course) 12th passed or ITI certificate holder.

Ques. Are there any age restrictions for JEECUP 2023?

Ans. Candidates should be minimum 14 years old as on 1st July 2023 to apply for JEECUP. Also, there is no upper age limit to appear in the exam.

Ques. I have completed class 10 but I am appearing for the class 10 exam. Can I apply for JEECUP 2023?

Ans. Yes, you can appear for JEECUP 2023. But, you will be admitted on a provisional basis. Make sure you have your class 10 degree in hand before June 15, 2023.

Ques. Can a candidate attempt JEECUP for practice, even though they are not eligible to apply?

Ans. No, a candidate is not allowed to sit JEECUP 2023 for any reason without satisfying the eligibility criteria. Hence, you must make sure that you satisfy all the conditions defined by UPTBE.

Ques. Am I eligible to apply for JEECUP 2023 if I have completed class 10 form outside UP?

Ans. You are allowed to apply for JEECUP in that case only if you have the domicile of UP. Otherwise, the school must be UP Board approved.

Ans. Yes. JEECUP is a gateway to all Polytechnic courses offered by UPBTE. Once you clear the exam, you may apply to any of your choice of programmes. However, you must attain the minimum JEECUP criteria for that course.

Ques. Can I apply for JEECUP if I am not a resident of UP and I have also not finished my class 10 exams in UP?

Ans. Under those circumstances, the only way you can apply for JEECUP 2023 if you have completed class 10 from a UP board approved school.
