Dr Dinesh Goyal is the Director at the Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), Jaipur. Under his leadership, the Institute has become the 1st Institution across India to offer Engineering Education in Regional Language under “New Education Policy”. Acquiring experience of more than 21 years in teaching, and perceived keen interest in research areas relating Cloud Security, Image Processing, Data Analytics and Information Security. With a mission to append more and better skill sets, has organized many conferences, workshops, seminars and FDP’s as Convener and Co-Convener within this short career span. With his great exposure to Outcome-based Education in higher education, he has been instrumental in obtaining accreditations for his institutions, from various agencies like NAAC and NBA. He has also been an Empanelled Assessor in NAAC since 2021.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“The ability to provide top-class quality education motivates me the best”

Education is one of the noblest professions, which keeps the nation moving and growing. It is the primary source of Nation Building, where young generations are nurtured to serve society. My passion for the education sector has these 2 major roles. The first one is Nation Building and the second one is Quality education. This has kept me motivated always and you can notice that PIET is the only College in Rajasthan which is NAAC and NBA Accredited, Ranked 3rd in RTU-QIV Ranking, Platinum Ranking by AICTE-CII.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here at PIET?

The Indian Education System has been respected globally, because of 2 major practices in it. 1st is the domain skills with hands-on learning being imparted to the students in the best possible way. It is done with the help of updated technology and skilled trainers and 2nd is Professional ethics being the foundation of our education system. PIET ensures to inculcate both, amongst all its students. Another major thing PIET caters to its students is their holistic development as great human beings, team builders, strong technocrats and sensitive towards society and nation.

What do you think should be the college’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Focus on research-based activities and receive number 1 ranking amongst other institutes”

In the next 10 years, our dream is to achieve 1st rank amongst all Institutions in Rajasthan. Also to become an autonomous Research and Development Oriented Institute. And finally, to create and decimate the knowledge by and to the Youth of the nation.

What do you see as PIET’s latest strengths?

What has been your vision for the College?

When I joined PIET, my aim was to establish PIET as a brand in Rajasthan amongst Technical Institutions in Higher Education. Our primary objectives were to be accredited by Agencies like NAAC, NBA, ranked by NIRF, quality publications by Faculty members, good research and projects, quality and good placements for our students.

What would you like people to know about your Institute they may not know?

“PIET has been ranked 3rd by affiliating University RTU for its contribution to the academic sector”

PIET was established in the year 2007 and is one of the youngest Institutions amongst 120 institutions in the state. It is NAAC Accredited and NBA Accredited for its entire eligible Program (Only Institution in Rajasthan to achieve this). The NBA accredited B.Tech Civil Engineering Program of PIET is 1st of its kind amongst all private Institutions in Rajasthan and 1st Under RTU too. In the past 3 years, our placements have been rocketing high in terms of average packages (now upto INR 5 LPA) and numbers both. We are the only Institute in Rajasthan to establish an IDEA lab under AICTE and are platinum rated by AICTE-CII Survey.
