Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any).

Aman: GD was offline. Each group had 10 members. Yes everyone got a chance to speak. But I recommend speaking in the first three. And since I went first, it gave me an advantage.  There were 2 moderators present. One minute was given to think on the topic. You have to be quick enough to think about it. The GD was a soft one, nothing aggressive, just like a conversation between friends.

In the case of WAT, there was nothing as we had Extempore instead, and the topic was quite simple.

There was no concept of writing answers as everything is spontaneous and in GD you can write but the time is very limited, only 60 seconds.

Pro tips:

  1. Never lie
  2. Try to answer questions using tactics.

Ex: I don't have exact info of this concept but what I think is this concept may imply this.

  1. Be calm (Don’t rush)

You have to explain to the interviewer and it should make sense.

  1. Always include topics which you want the interviewer to ask you in your answers.

Ex : You are interested in Economics so include something related to Economics in every answer tactically.

Collegedunia Team: What was the WAT/GD Topic?

Aman: Well the GD topic was Impact of Covid-19 on Indian Economy. It was quite easy. As Covid is something that everyone will be prepared for.

Collegedunia Team: What was your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Aman: Introduction, How it impacted me personally, How it impacted my known, How it devastated the different sectors of the economy, How it was a boom for some industries and bane for some, and last how economy tackled with it

All these points in very brief as I spoke for about 1 and a half minute in approx 10 minute GD session.

Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Aman: There were 2 faculty members as moderators of the Interview. The mode of the process was Offline. The duration of each interview round was 15-20 minutes. It was a Simple interview with in-between arguments that could be tackled tactically, otherwise it was a fine session.

Pro tips: Always read the newspaper. In advance select your favourite subject and be ready about almost everything. Always try to be calm. Give hints in between the answer about the topic on which you will like to answer the next question

Collegedunia Team: Mention at least 5 questions that were asked in LBSIM Delhi Interview and how you responded to each of them?

Aman: The questions asked during the Interview are:

Ques1. Favourite Subject?

Ans. Economics.

Ques2. Why Iphones more expensive than other phones?

Ans. Tariffs, software , specifications, import duties, etc. I wasn't really prepared to answer this question.

Ques3. Sisters of India?

Ans. All the North-Eastern States.

Ques4. Where is Pushkar and what is its relevance?

Ans. Rajasthan and Brahma Ji are temples in India.

Ques5. Who is the New SEBI Chairman and who was the previous?

Ans. I told them that I had an idea about the previous one but the changed one didn't.

Collegedunia Team: Mention any three reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Aman: Choices:

  1. DTU
  2. LBSIM
  3. FORE
  4. IPU (Main Campus)

DTU, an engineering college, may not teach MBA well plus the average package was very less.

LBSIM has 25 years of experience in management and Average package is really good (CTC of One Year = Fees Invested in 2 years).

Collegedunia Team: What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Aman: There wasn't any college for which I couldn't convert to because of GD or Interview.

I missed some colleges despite being 90 percentile in CAT and a low sectional cut off in LR-DI. Please take care of sectional scores as well.
