Yashvi Jain Admission Experience

Did you avail of the benefit of any reservation?

Yashvi Jain: “General (No reservation).”

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Yashvi Jain: “When I appeared for the GD process, it was offline and inside the campus only. Though it was the only time I went to college and covid happened. Talking about GD, before it was WAT. The topic of WAT was clearly based on the latest news and at that time the latest topics were Brexit, CAA, NRC. The topic of GD was a bit different from WAT. But they both judged the opinions of a person. There were approx 7-8 people in one group. it was not very aggressive GD. People were waiting to listen to others’ opinions and include others. They gave me 5 mins to think about the topic. The only tip for the aspirant will be that read newspapers daily and follow the latest news. Not only LBSIM but mostly every college judge a student based on this knowledge. Do frame your opinions on that news and not just what is written in newspapers.”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Yashvi Jain: “GD topic was: Is FDI beneficial or not.”

What were your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Yashvi Jain: “I said that yes FDI is beneficial to a limit. As it helps us to rebuild our country with the help of their understanding and resources. FDI helps us to get the modern technology they have in our country because if they are investing they will also want good returns and for that, they will equip employees with new technology as they are aware of it.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Yashvi Jain: “There were three-panel members. In my panel all three were women. But yes other panel members had men's also. Most panel members were faculties. My interview was in offline mode. All the processes of wat, GD, PI took place in a single day. The interview was 5 mins long.”
