What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Ability to pass on my education to students and help them build a better nation”

Education is the key to success. I try to keep myself updated with the latest trends in the education industry to become a successful academician. Keeping myself in close proximity with the students and alumni members helps me stay connected to the learner within myself.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“A collaborative, democratic and flexible style of working”

As a Registrar, I need to work in collaboration with all the staff members for the progress of the organization. I must maintain a positive relationship with the teaching and non-teaching staff to derive top-quality results. A true leader brings out positivity in the employees.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

“Academic education and developing socio-cultural awareness is essential for students”

The inbound students can learn a lot about the rich cultural heritage of Bhagalpur and nearby areas. They can also gather information about nearby universities like the old-age Nalanda University, Gaya university, etc. Overall, they will get to learn about the education system in India and the unique way it is administered at Tilkamanjhi University.

“A modern and updated syllabus that aligns perfectly with industry”

There are few ongoing programs in the universities that have been taught for a long time and have become traditional subjects. A new program called IRDM (Industrial Rural Development Programme) has been developed to learn the latest practices and developments in the rural development industry. Additionally, the Department of Psychology has some papers at par with the latest developments in the industry. The aim is to ensure that the students can apply the practical aspects of the theories in real-life situations.

What do you think your responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“To remain actively available at all times and ensure the smooth functioning of the University”

As a Registrar, my roles and responsibilities are multifold. Ranging from student and staff oriented activities to management operations of the University. I ensure timely conduction of the exams and their results around the year. I also ensure timely provision of salaries of all the teaching, non-teaching staff members and pension to the retired people.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“To enhance the quality of education and provide better employment opportunities to students”

The top priority of the University is the development of a unique academic habitat that facilitates the comprehensive growth of everyone involved. For this purpose, I would personally prioritise the development of our students in the next few years. Also, developing a few more departments in the University with the latest equipment and infrastructure is a priority. Retention and hiring of highly experienced faculty members are essential too.

“Through education, students must aspire to rise higher in life”

The current youth must make themselves ready for a world that looks out for competitive people having immense talents. The students must focus on upskilling themselves to equip themselves and prepare for the corporate world.
