CAMPUS LIFE

Nirma University Campus, the foreground of the future, has a serene academic ambiance that motivates students to focus on development and all-round growth. The University is a community perpetually in motion with the students running clubs, planning and executing national and international activities, competitions, annual technical and cultural festivals, live projects, group projects in addition to social amelioration through various activities for underprivileged schools and villages in the vicinity of the university. The students of the constituent institutes of the University have consistently won accolades and awards at national and international levels. The buildings have air-conditioned amphitheater classrooms equipped with multi-media and audio-visual equipment’s, spacious seminar halls and auditoriums with varied capacities and hi-tech laboratories with the latest equipment. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The Computing facilities at the campus include most modern updated computer laboratories with latest configuration computers, modern software and high-speed servers. A state of art gigabit network connects every corner of the Institutes. The University has excellent sports facilities comprising synthetic grounds for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, large fields for football and cricket, volleyball courts, lawn tennis courts, table tennis room in addition to a well-equipped modern gymnasium. The Campus hostel for PG students has separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished.

FACILITIES

The computing facilities at the campus include modern computer laboratories with latest configuration computers, modern software and high-speed servers. A state-of-art gigabit network connects every corner of the Institutes. A 332 Mbps dedicated optic-fiber leased line and Wi-Fi hotspots enable round the clock internet connectivity on the campus. Language laboratories are equipped with the latest software to aid modern language teaching. 

The campus hostel for postgraduate students has separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The mess and cafeteria on the University campus provide hygienic and healthy vegetarian food.

The University has excellent sports facilities comprising synthetic grounds for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, large fields for football and cricket, volleyball courts, lawn tennis courts, table tennis room in addition to a well-equipped modern gymnasium.

HOSTEL LIFE

Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a residential full-time programme. All students herein are required to stay in the hostel throughout the duration of the programme. Any student having an exceptional case can be granted permission to stay outside the hostel. The Institute has separate hostel facilities for male and female students. Both hostels are located on the University Campus. Hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The students are required to have their own computers in the hostel rooms wherein everybody can have Local Area Network connectivity & Internet connectivity. The hostel also has sports and other recreational facilities for the students. The hostel mess is administered by a private contractor and vegetarian food is available in meals.

ANTI-RAGGING

Ragging is strictly prohibited inside and outside the University campus. The Anti-raging committee constituted for this purpose by the Institute is empowered to take immediate action against any untoward action and also to counsel the fresher. Students seeking admission shall have to furnish affidavit and undertaking in this regard. To enhance familiarity and to acclimatize the fresher to the academic and social environment of the campus, the institute organizes an orientation session in the first week of the new academic calendar.

CLUBS@INSTITUTE

The club aims to provide opportunities to the members and interested students to develop entrepreneurial skills and help polish their abilities so as to prepare them to face the challenges of the business world. It also helps them to set up a business by providing all possible information. The club also organizes business quizzes, business plan competitions, and seminars on current issues.

CONCLAVES

The corporate gurus address the students to initiate them into the emergent mantras of the management world. The sessions have been christened “Conclaves”, and are scheduled four times a year. Eminent professionals are invited to share their thoughts and experiences about buzzing strategies and concepts. It is an interface with the reality that helps students to cope with and stay ahead of change. Every year, conclaves are held in the disciplines of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Family Business, and Information Technology.

FACULTIES

The Institute has a balanced strength of faculty resources having rich experience in academia & the industry. With diverse disciplines being practiced, this balance is well planned and implemented. The faculty members possess expertise in not only teaching, research & development but also in consultancy. There are in total 54 Faculties out of which 38 faculties are Ph.D. These highly skilled people come together under one roof to impart prime quality training to the participants of the programme. The Faculty at the Institute functions to bring about a right mix of theory, application along with proportionate practice which caters to the ongoing industry needs.
