Dr Vinesh Agarwal is a professor and dean, at the School of Engineering and Technology at Sangam University, Bhilwara. He did M.Tech, BE and PhD. He has more than 19 years of teaching and industrial experience.His research interests include Renewable Energy and Conventional Power Systems which includes Wind, PV, Hybrid Power Systems, Distributed Generation, Grid Integration of Renewable Energy, FACTS, Power System, Power Electronics and Smart Grid. He is also a Member of the IEEE Rajasthan Chapter. He was awarded a gold medal in the M.Tech Program from RTU. He has published over 45 research papers in international and national journals.

Being part of management, what is your philosophy of leadership and describe your leadership style in Sangam University?

“Follows a direct and leading leadership style by me”

I would describe my leadership style as direct and leading by example. I enjoy delegating tasks and taking the lead on projects. Also, I like to stay involved and inspire my team by working hands-on to help them. 


According to you, what makes the education industry the best industry to work in?

“ Adaptability, creativity, stable schedule and interpersonal interactions”

According to me, there are many advantages to working in the education sector. Few of the most notable values include exposure to multiple perspectives, stable schedule, personal fulfillment, interpersonal interactions, adaptability, dedication, communication and Creativity. 


Being an integral member of the University, how does your work impact the growth of the Sangam University?

“Positive attitude and continuous efforts formulate positive growth of university”

We follow a positive attitude and continuous efforts toward the betterment of stakeholders. They give a positive impact on the growth of the university. 


What career opportunities can students see in the field of engineering?

“Opportunities in Management, Private MNCs, entrepreneurship and more are available to pupils”

Engineering is the most popular graduation courses students take after completing school. Choosing the right career is confusing for many students. Our world is full of opportunities. Some of the best career options after engineering are Public Service, Management, Entrepreneurship, Civil Services, Private MNCs and Indian Armed Forces. 


How do you prepare students to face the challenges of modern organizations and global standards successfully?

“Develop decision making process, team building exercises, and organizational skills of students”

In my view, we prepare the student by hosting team-building exercises and promoting organizational goals. We deliver constructive criticism and develop a decision-making process. Our campus is always ready to welcome new ideas.

What is the most optimum path according to you for a student wanting to excel in any field of engineering?

“Continuous motivation and aptitude excel a student in the engineering field”

Students need to focus on the correct attitude in every place. Additionally, they must formulate aptitude and continuous motivation. This drives a student to become better in any field.


How do you plan on using the immense knowledge and experience you have gained over the decades as an integral member of the Sangam University?

“Focus on core concepts, sub skills, and provide knowledge with practice on campus”

It is necessary to be explicit about the application. We focus on core concepts, identify sub-skills and provide knowledge with practice. Our faculties make way for students involved in several processes. 


What kind of placement and higher studies opportunities your Institute provides for engineering students?

“Campus placement drives and preparation for GATE examination are available to students from the campus”

We provide campus placement with core and IT Companies. Students can go on campus placement drives. For higher studies, we prepare them for the GATE examination on campus to get PG admission in India’s leading institutes.

When you look back on your time in the educational industry, what’s the significant difference? 

“Use of technology and comprehensive learning are changes visible in the education industry”

The major difference between education in the past and present is the use of technology. It was a difficult task to gain knowledge in the past. But it is very easy to access and memorize knowledge today with the use of technology. Comprehensive and extensive learning was not easy before. People can educate themselves in any part of the world through their tablets, laptops, and mobiles nowadays.
