What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

"The opportunities and happiness this field offers to us as an educator have kept me intacted"

Along with being an Educator, I am a Catholic Priest belonging to a religious congregation. At present, we are running around 59 colleges and 700 schools across India as we have taken a pledge and made it our mission to educate the youth in the best possible way about our religion, region and languages. And I wish to continue my life and services in the education field, because here only I can upskill myself and my students at the same time and contribute to the growth of society and nation. Also from the time I have joined this amazing institute, I have met with esteemed faculty members, non-teaching staff, Alumni and faculties or other prestigious institutions as well. And teaching students is not only a profession but a moral duty towards the country and a personal passion. Throughout my journey I have contributed to the growth of various departments of the institute, so these factors together I believe have kept me associated with the education sector.

How is your college more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

"We accept students application from all over India and overseas countries as well"

We started this college only with 9 students and it was James Rose that time. But now we have 10000+ students from different Indian states, GCC countries along with 13 other countries who are part of our college . And for this, we didn't use superficial kinds of marketing. Last year, we received around 49,000 applications but we selected only 4100 to define how we want our college culture and environment to be because quantity is not everything and quality matters the most when it comes to delivering employment oriented education to students. Also, to make our students feel valued and appreciated, we have established a conducive learning ambiance for students in the form of amazing physical and academic infrastructure. And this diversity is also the integrity of our college and helps in the overall personal and professional development of students.

What would you like people to know about your college that makes it unique and different from others?

"We have an amazing infrastructure, working culture and best programs for students"

The best thing that separates and also makes us unique in comparison to others is the kind of disciplined environment we have maintained in our college. Next is our culture which for sure was not developed over the night but is the result of years of hardwork and dedication. Also our amazing working-learning culture is the identity of our institution and also a subtotal of our values, policies and stance. In addition to this, we have defined a system for each work and academic as well as non-academic processes of our college. Next thing which makes us different is our teaching practices, wonderful infrastructure, research facilities we have established in college followed by our faculty members whom we empower and develop from the time they join us, because along with students they are the most important asset for our college.

What do you think should be your college's top priority over the next ten years?

"Improving the research facilities and academic pedagogies of our college should be our goal"

In my opinion, we should focus on enhancing the research facilities and educational practices of our college so that we can deliver the best to students. And empowering students with required technical and social skills so that they can understand the real time issues of society and solve those issues using innovative solutions and services should be our other goal. And they should be educated by keeping in mind how they can contribute to the economic growth of our country. Because our ultimate aim is to produce such individuals who can contribute for the welfare and betterment of society.

How do you train your faculty to deliver the programs to students in the best possible way?

"We train them using rigorous training programs which we arrange for them when they join us"

For any Institute, its faculty members are the core of its strength and before expecting students to deliver best results, first we must provide the finest quality education to them and for that proper training of teaching staff is very mandatory. Any education institution's faculty members are the core. Hence when faculties join us to teach students, we send them for one of the dedicated training programs so that they can learn the required technical competencies and educate themselves about our infra, our culture and code of conduct properly. And rest they update their knowledge by themselves as all of them have amazing academic Knowledge and experience.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

"Leadership is all about empowering others and utilizing their skills to fulfill shared goals"

Being in the education sector, I firmly believe that true leadership is all about empowering my students and faculty members and encouraging them to do their best. And to help the institute grow, we have to own it. And a hierarchical structure is followed when it comes to the decision making process of our college and we have the Guidance available of our respected Principal, Vice-Principal, Deans and Department Heads. And college management has given full freedom to everyone to experiment with their ideas and therefore Decentralisation in the way of working and helping each other to grow are the main pillars of our college strength and symbol of leadership as well.

How do you design and update the curriculum to make it more befitting for the students?

"We involve everyone in the decision making process so that we can deliver best content to students"

We have established the Curriculum Customization Committee to develop the curriculum for subjects as per industry standards and requirements. This committee comprises Industry Experts, esteemed Academicians, Faculty Members and Alumni who do rigorous analysis and research about industry development, development and requirements along with students academic needs and then define the courses accordingly. After gathering suggestions from everyone, we present it in front of the Board of Studies for approval. And this curriculum is a perfect amalgamation of the specific domain knowledge and co-curricular activities because while designing it we clearly define the goals we have to achieve and skills we have to inculcate in students at the end. And to teach students, a wide variety of teaching pedagogies are used by the faculty members.

How does your university deal with the difficulties during the COVID times?

"We came out of this very courageously and have even developed a dedicated learning system for students"

Without doubt, Covid pandemic was very challenging and horrific for everyone, but I am glad that we have confronted it very bravely. And we were even approached by the Third Party vendors to conduct classes and exams and later on we gave the challenge to a tech team and the faculty members of Tricia and Founders then developed a Learning Management System which is used by the Western University. After this, we developed the Lending Management System to conduct online and offline classes and also to take exams in blended mode, at the top of that by identifying 50-55 plugins that can be built within the system. And we were awarded by the Delhi University and Delhi government for integrating technology into the education process in such an innovative way. Some of our faculty members even had international exposure during all this. Also then, the biggest challenge for us in addition to Pandemic itself was training the teaching staff to use the developed system and technologies in an effective way to teach the students.

What is the placement strategy of your college?

"Esteemed organization and companies visits us every year to recruit our students"

Our college has maintained very good relationships with 8200 companies and we are particular about the companies who can visit us during the placement drives and recruit our students for various job profiles. And the Placement Cell of our college plays the most significant role in all this. Also, esteemed companies like KPMG and JP Morgan are among our top recruiters and sometimes they even compete with each other before visiting our college. In addition to this, if any of our students are selected by a particular company, they have to also sign a bond with the institution.
