Dr. Medha Sachdev is the Associate Professor at the Department of English of Sri Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya. She did M.A. and Doctorate from AMU, Aligarh. She has also qualified SLET from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. She has a teaching experience of 23 years. She has written two books, namely, In the Kingdom of God and One Act Plays. Her field of interest is Indo-Anglian Fiction and Indian Philosophy. Dr. Sachdev has also published several publications in National and International Journals.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Provide a secure environment and extracurricular activities for students”

We give an amicable environment for all the pupils. We help students to enrich their hidden talents by conducting literary and other extracurricular activities. 

How do you establish healthy relations for students and faculty?

“Build a healthy space to raise their talents”

We believe in creating a healthy space for our students. It assists in reviewing the personal and academic problems of students. A strict atmosphere does not help the growth of individuals. Our purpose is to carve out new talent for society. 

How do you update the curriculum for students in Sri Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya?

“Provide information about the theory and practical sessions for students”

The University finalizes the syllabus of the campus and updates the curriculum. We give information about the theory and practical sessions to students. This ensures they can achieve their goals easily. 

How do you help a student to cope with the outside competition in Sri Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya?

“Encourage students to update their skills through several activities”

A student can build up vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking skills. It is necessary to make them enhance their skills through various programs. Our campus encourages students to participate in activities and groom their personalities.

I have been concerned about girls' issues since the first day of joining. Our campus consists of girls. I talk to them and try to find out solutions to their problems. I feel happy with their satisfying responses. We try our best to enrich the talents of candidates on campus. 

How does college raise the skills of the faculty according to industry standards?

“Promote research-work and academic National/International programs for faculties”

We encourage and support faculties in every matter. Our campus provides research work and academic National/International programs for faculties. This helps to deal with industry-related issues. 

What approaches do you bring apart from the curriculum to train students?

“We have Spoken English Proficiency program for students so that they may groom themselves”

Our campus runs a spoken English Proficiency program for all. It helps to advance the language skills of each pupil.
