She has several years of work experience in the field of academics and education, and has served in many institutions so far. What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Comprehensive learning environment and teaching”

Being a HOD, I always try to maintain the standards and quality of teaching through continuous discussion with my colleagues to give best to my students. Also, I encourage them to participate in various seminars and college activities that would enhance their skills and confidence to face real world challenges. I always try to maintain general discipline in the department and a healthy working system for the students.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“Clear and convenient conversations with every member”

To build healthy relations with the students and faculty, I try to connect with them in different ways. I often share my own college life experiences, listen to theirs, mentor students to perform better and make them relate with varied situations in life. Mutual respect and trust are the primary requirements to establish healthy relationships with colleagues. Conflicts are inevitable, but I try to resolve them timely and with the best possible options. I am open to any advice or criticism from my staff and students as well.

How do you try to make subjects more practical and industry oriented?

“Accomplishment of better understanding and skills”

I always suggest my students to keep themselves updated with the latest technological developments and societal transformations taking place in the outside world. Changes in human society and communities with time are critical in understanding anthropology. I also believe that every new change is associated with human history, which can help the students to relate things and concepts very easily. Moreover, encouraging students to learn more things outside the academic curriculum is critical in developing extra skills and better knowledge. We provide proper guidance and counselling to students for a better career building. 

How do you help students to cope up with the high competition in the outside world? 

“Providing full support and guidance with an enhanced workforce”

The primary aspect there is to ensure that students must feel free to endorse their interests and passions along with an equal educational support. There must be a stress free and healthy learning atmosphere encouraging potential growth of students. I never give any benchmark of success to any student as everyone has their own capability; rather I boost their courage and confidence to accomplish success in their own ways. Direct comparison is not a sensible option when you have students with their individual talent. My job is to ensure that everyone is able to discover their strengths and passion, and use them wisely.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Create positivity and lively approaches throughout your life”

Do have a competitive mindset, but maintain a healthy relation with your competitors. Do not lose your empathy and honesty at any cost. Do not hesitate to ask questions. Have faith in yourself and you will win every obstacle on your way. Read more books and align your mindset. Also, try to learn about current affairs and the ongoing research works in your field.
