“Ability to understand students' psychology, and explore education connects me with the education sector”

The key factors that help me to connect with this field or sector is the ability to understand students psychology, their background, their issues, their interests or strong points and guide them based on these key factors.

At Anantrao Pawar College Of Architecture, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for college?

“Focus on programs that benefit students in their academic and personal life”

Our main focus of the program is how it is going to benefit students in their academic and personal life. While implementing such a program, we strategies the content considering the Holistic development of the student. So that they should be having skills to handle professional projects and career endeavors also.

How does the curriculum of Anantrao Pawar College Of Architecture ensure the best practice of industry?

“Provide guest lectures, expert guidance and discussion arranged for more clarity”

Our curriculum is implemented with theoretical lectures that happen in the college then the site visit or field visit. It has been conducted outside the college and industry visits so that students get the actual understanding of the topic. Also, guest lecture, expert guidance and discussion arranged for more clarity. Faculty is also involved in all activities, students are involved in curricular or co curricular activities and social activities. Apart from Academics, students Holistic development is very important and that has been implemented along with the curriculum in our Institute.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing the different courses from your college in the future?

“Students can start their career with NGOs and other projects in the market”

As our courses offered various avenues after graduating from the institute which includes running your own practice and getting a job in renowned companies or architectural firms. Also, students are associated with various NGOs and working and their projects.

As per every student's interest and their liking, we guide them and provide them opportunities to explore their dream and convert it into reality. Our principal Dr. R. B. Koli. having experience for more than 35 years in this field. It helps us to arrange resource persons to guide students.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general and Anantrao Pawar College Of Architecture specifically?

“Insufficient time for 1st year students to get familiar with the basics of architecture or any higher education” 

First of all, our biggest challenge from last 2 to 3 year is the admission process which has been conducted by the Director of Technical Education Maharashtra state Mumbai which is getting late by 6 months from 2020 academic year till the 2022 academic year first year is commented nearly in January. And as per Savitribai University guidelines it is getting concluded in June aur July. This is very insufficient time for 1st year students to get familiar with the basis of architecture or any higher education. The first year is very important and it helps students to make the foundation of higher education or architectural education. Apart from this the skill based learning and subject should be included in the syllabus so that it will help students to sustain in a market for a very long time.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Enjoy your studies and focus on your career”

My suggestion for the new generation would be that they should enjoy their studies and focus on what they are getting from the study or any activity. Now this millennial generation is very fast forward and they have an infinite information database available online. Knowledge is the derivative of the information and that is something missing. Also this changing environment and global challenges they need to understand and then need to consider this for there future.
