VITEEE 2021 Admit Card

VITEEE Admit Card 2021 will be given to those candidates whose application has been successful. It will be released by the conducting body, VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) after candidates complete the process of slot booking. Candidates can download the admit card online after booking their respective slots from the official website vit.ac.in. by logging in with their credentials. It is mandatory for every candidate to carry the hard copy of their admit card to the exam center on the day of the exam. It contains all important information related to the applicants candidature. 

VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam) tests a students knowledge on the science subjects they studied in their 11th and 12 standards such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as well as English and Aptitude. The eligibility is 60% in 10+2 level PCM/PCB subjects with a 10% relaxation for students from SC/ST background, Jammu & Kashmir and all 7 North Eastern states. 

  • The registration process will start from the third week of September, 2021 and end by the final week of February, 2021. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots depending on the number of students who registered.
  • Students have the option to apply offline as well by collecting the form from either one of the four VIT campuses. Registration fee for online applicants is INR 1250 and offline application fee is INR 1150. 
  • The time from which the online slot booking starts will be mentioned by the conducting body. There is a time limit for the availability of slots, so candidates are advised to book within their specified time. 
  • Candidates can choose options such as examination date and test centre as per their convenience. If you are unable to book your preferred date and centre, then other available options can be selected. 
  • Candidates must carry the admit card and a verified photo id proof along with it and reach the examination centre with these documents at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. 
  • In case of any discrepancy related to the details mentioned on the admit card, candidates are advised to contact the authorities concerned at admin.chennai@vit.ac.in.

How to Download VITEEE Admit Card 2021?

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website by following the given steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website vit.ac.in

Step 2: You are to click on the link to the slot booking which will be made live 

Step 3: Login with your credentials such as application number and password. Enter the captcha and login.

Step 4: You will find the application details below your photo and can proceed only after checking the box to confirm the details and then clicking on the “book a seat” button. 

Step 5: Enter the details and download the admit card.

Slots can be booked through the Online Test Booking System (OTBS). Slots once booked cannot be changed under any circumstances. It is therefore advisable to practise caution while booking the same. 

  • Enter all required details such as the name of the test you are sitting for, state in which you reside, and test city from the dropdown.
  • Next, select the subject for VITEEE 2021. Options are PCME (candidates will have )or PCBE.
  • After selecting the subject, choose your preferred date of giving the examination from the list of 3 options. 
  • After selecting the name of your test centre, the available slots will be displayed against which the booking link will be given. Here, the number of available seats at that centre on that day will be displayed. 
  • Candidates will be given only a minute to book their seats as booking is real time and on a first come first serve basis. 
  • On selecting your slot, all the details related to your candidature will be displayed. Cross verify all the data and click on the “confirm” button if no discrepancy is found. 
  • Candidates will get a mail of confirmation if their booking is successful to their registered email address. 
  • On successful completion of booking, the e admit card will be displayed on the screen. Save the card in your system for future use. Candidates should take out at least 2 hard copies of the same.

  • In the log in page, click on the “forgot password” link. 
  • A new window will appear asking for details which you entered during registration such as email address, mobile number, and verification code. 
  • After entering these details, click on the submit button. The new password will be sent to your email address and mobile number.

Candidates have to keep the following instructions on the day of the examination as mentioned on the admit card:

  • Candidates must be assigned their respective examination centre at 30 minutes before its commencement time with their e admit card. 
  • The e admit card is the most vital document that must be preserved and produced at the time of the examination as well as during counselling and admission process.
  • The total duration of VITEEE examination will be 2 hours and 30 mins. 
  • Candidates must report to the examination hall with their e admit card, a photocopy of their application form, and any of these mentioned valid photo identity proof: 
  • Valid Passport 
  • Driving license
  • Voter identification card/ Aadhar card
  • School or college photo ID card.
  • Exam hall ticket of your 12th board exam or admit card with photo
  • Candidates are required to register their name at the registration counter. They are required to carry their e admit card and the photo id proof for the verification. 
  • Candidates are advised to be seated only in their allotted seats. 
  • Candidates are required to sign the attendance sheet and e admit card only in presence of the invigilator.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the examination or leave the hall prior to its termination.
  • violation of any rules set by the authorities or adoption of unfair means in the exam hall will result in cancellation of your examination.
  • Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying any electronic devices such as calculators, cell phones, side ruler, tables, or pager. 
  • Candidates will get all information regarding counselling from the official website or by contacting the VIT office after declaration of results. 
  • Biometric fingerprint or photo capture of all candidates will be carried out by the authorities.
  • Ranking equations are done to ensure that equity is maintained in a way that scores on different forms can be used interchangeably. The percentile rank scored by a candidate suggests the number of candidates who scored below the. 80 percentile for example would suggest that 80% of candidates scored below them.

  • As mentioned in the admit card, biometric fingerprint/ photo capture will be carried out by the authorities on all candidates. 
  • Candidates must cooperate with the authorities in charge during the process. Failure to comply might lead to disqualification of the candidate. 
  • Biometric authentication will be carried out once more during the time of counselling as well as during the time of admission.
  • VIT will not be responsible for the loss of any valuable belonging to the candidates. 

Corrections in VITEEE Admit Card 2021

Candidates are advised to cross verify all details mentioned in their admit card such as name, father’s name, date of birth, contact information, test date, and centre after downloading the same. 

  • In case of any error/discrepancy in the admit card, you may not be allowed to appear for the examination. So you need to take care of it right away.
  • Any issues or errors in the admit card must be reported to the VIT University and brought to their notice. 
  • Candidates should contact the conducting body via email at admin.chennai@vit.ac.in.
  • Candidates can alternatively contact the officials by calling them at their official helpline number at 0416-220 2125/330 5555 between the hours 9:00 am - 6:00 am during the working days (Monday to Friday).

VITEEE 2021 - Exam Day Guidelines 

VIT sets the do’s and don’ts that candidates must follow in the exam hall. Candidates are expected to to maintain the following rules and regulations on the day of their examination:

  • Reach the test centre as per the reporting time time that is mentioned on your e admit card.
  • Candidates are to maintain absolute silence and start working on their testing process only.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any written or printed text materials except their e admit card and pen/pencil for rough work.
  • Electronic devices, bluetooth devices, paging devices, calculators, spy cameras are completely prohibited in the exam hall. 
  • Candidates may not leave the exam hall till the exam is over even if they have completed their test.
  • Candidates are not allowed to eat any food items (snacks, coffee, cold drinks, tea) or drink anything (except plain water with no writing on the bottle) inside the examination hall.

Question: I have lost my password. What can I do?

Ans. You can recover your password by clicking on the “forgot password” link and enter the details asked. The password will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.

Question: Can I change my slot or exam timing after completing the slot booking process?

Ans. No, candidates will not be able to change any information like test centre, timing, or date once already booked. It is therefore advised to enter these details carefully. 

Question: I have completed my slot booking but still unable to download the admit card. What can I do in this case?

Ans. You should wait for at least 24 hours as the system takes time to generate the same. If you are still unable to download it, contact the authorities and bring it to their notice.

Question: My signature/photo is not there on the admit card? What can be done?

Ans. If your signature/photo is missing, there is no need to worry as carrying a valid photo id proof and passport size photo will suffice. 

Question: If there are discrepancies in the admit card, what should I do to change it?

Ans. in case of any discrepancy in the admit card, you must contact the concerned authorities immediately and bring the issue to their notice. 

Question: Can my admit card be posted to me if I have applied offline?

Ans. No, admit cards will not be issued via post or fax. It has to be downloaded online only by entering your application number and password irrespective of the method you used to submit your application. 

Question: What is the eligibility criteria for applying for VITEEE?

Ans. Students who have graduated from their 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology with at least 60% in aggregate are eligible. The minimum marks criteria is 50% if you belong to SC/ST category or are a resident of Jammu & Kashmir or North Eastern states.
