IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Hyderabad are some of the most reputed engineering colleges in India. However, it is difficult to choose between the two as the branches you have mentioned are different. To make a more precise decision, first, decide which branch you want to opt for.

I have a bunch of colleagues who have done their graduation from IIITA and IIITH and based on the brief interaction I had with them, here are some of the insights they have to share:

If you have an interest in Computers, you should go with IT from IIIT Allahabad. Admission is not easy because IT is its most popular core branch.
In case you don’t get admission to IIIT Allahabad, keep IIIT Hyderabad as a second option. Even though your branch is ECE, the coding culture there will give you an awesome start for your computer knowledge acquiring process.

If you get admitted to IIITA, satisfaction with your interest is guaranteed. If not, don’t feel you’ve settled for IIIT Hyderabad, as it is equally reputed and will fulfill your interest in computers.
