IIITA Hidden Facts and Review

Hostel Facilities:

There are 5 Boys Hostel and 3 Girls Hostel. Boys Hostel are named as BH1 Bh2 BH3 BH4 BH5 BH5 is recently created and is full of modern facilities.BTECH 1st yr and Phd use to live here. BH 4 is for 4th yr btech. BH1 is for 2nd yr Btech BH3 is for 3 rd yr Btech and BH2 is for Mtech and Btech both. Each hostel has there Separate Mess and everyone get double sharing room except for Btrech 4th yr and Mtech and Phd,they get single room. The mess menu is being decided by mess commity and the quality of food is mostly good.We get meals 3 times in a day morning-breakfast Afternoon- Lunch and Night- dinner.The mess fee is 16000 per sem which is afforable.

Hostel Fee : INR 6000 per year

Campus Life:

There are 3 fests that are celebrated in IIITA. 1)Effervescence(Cultural Fest): Happen ith month of Nov or Dec 2)Approksha(Technical Fest): Happen in the month of April 3)Asmita(Annual Sports Fest): Happen in the month of Jan or Feb. Coming to Library: The library of IIITA is vast and consists of thousands of books on different fields and subjects. The best part of the library is it is fully air-conditioned and open till late at night. Classroom: Almost every class of Btech happens in CC3 Building. It's a newly created building with premium facilities. Each room is connected to a centralised AC and every room has a smartboard and projector for teaching. Coming to Cultural Societies: IIITA is home to six cultural societies namely: 1)Dance Society - GeneticX Crew 2)Drama Society- Rangtarangini 3)Literary Society-Sarasva 4)Fine Art society-Nirmiti 5)Acoustics and Media Society-Thunderbolt AMS

Campus Life:

Campus life is pretty delightful for the students. There is a multi-sports ground for students along with Olympic size Swiming Pool on campus. Annual Tech fest/ Cultural Fest is conducted in September.

IIITA in a nutshell.

Campus Life:

At IIITA, campus life is just fantastic. It seems chaotic at first, but you'll quickly adjust and grow to appreciate it. The campus features excellent facilities, including a pool, basketball, and badminton courts, a student activity cetre, and more. The library also provides various books that will be helpful, especially in research activities. Three fests are part of IIITA's annual celebrations: Cultural Fest- Effervescence Technical Fest- Aproksha Sports Fest- Asmita There are various societies that will help you immensely to grow your network and upskill yourself: Thunderbolt AMS, Sarasva, Nirmiti, Rangtarangini, Virtuosi, GeneticX, Geekhaven, Tesla, Gravity, etc. The classrooms are also well equipped and in good condition. Whole campus has centralized Air Conditioning.

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel has free wifi but the speed is not that great. The mess food is not that good when we look at the price, the quality being okayish. the registration process begins before the start of college and hardly takes an hour( in the worst case). Renting a room will take you to civil lines or farther areas which I personally won't suggest

Campus Life:

Effervescence is the annual of IIIT Allahabad, Aparoksha being the tech fest and Asmita as cultural fest , effervescence is conducted around Nov-Dec Aparoksha in April. The college has a library in which you could find a variety of books to choose from.The sports culture is not so good considering the pressure of academics. The Facebook page of IIITA Geekheaven is being run by students only.

Amazing look of IIIT Allahabad placements

Hostel Facilities:

There are 5 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls . in the first year and second year we will be alloted double rooms i.e 2 persons per room and for the 3rd nd 4 th year we will be allotted single occupancy rooms. free wifi and ethernets are also available in the hostels. mess menu is not too good but it's eatable. on allotment of enrollment number to the students college authorities will allot the hostels immediately without no further registrations.

Hostel Fee : INR 12000 per year

Campus Life:

The campus life is good. There are many trees in the college. There are many clubs like Sarasva for literature, Geekheaven for technical, GeneticX for dance, and Rangtarangini for Drama. There are students from various states most of which are north and southmost people come from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There is a library which is good and has most of the books we required. The classrooms are good and air-conditioned and big enough.

Hostel Facilities:

Coming to hostel facilities, rooms are good and bathrooms are less and uncleaned all the time. Coming to mess, mess food is bad and south students feel it difficult to eat. Just we need to fill out the online form and the online payment registration process will be done for it. I am a hosteller and only hostels are present.

Hostel Fee : INR 33750 per year

Campus Life:

Life on campus is not up to the student's expectations. It will be a little hectic curriculum. The sports area is less compared to nits, iits. There are a lot of clubs like asmitha, dance society, and music society. There is no social group on campus. Everyone is equal here. No discrimination will be there.

Campus Life:

There are many societies in the institute. Nirmiti- Fine arts society Genetix-Dance Society Sarasva- Literature society Virtuosi -Music society Geek heaven, Tesla, Gravity -Technical Societies One of the most famous cultural fests is Effervescence. It is famous among North Indian institute cultural festivals. And in the same manner ASMITA and APAROKSHA are technical fests that are celebrated every year., All books are available in the library.

Tale of college life

Hostel Facilities:

Honestly speaking, I'm very disappointed with the hostel and food provided. The taste of the food is average. Most of us depend on the college canteen. First and second-year students are given a double room. And 3rd and 4th-year students are given single accommodation. And hostel fees are minimal around 6000 per semester for double accommodation and 12000 per semester for single accommodation

Campus Life:

Efferevence is the annual cultural fest which is one of the largest fests in North India. Which is conducted in October. And Approkasha is a technical fest that is held in April. Infrastructure available here which world-class and provide all the required facilities. There are many clubs run by students some of them are Sarasvati (literally society) Genetics(dance society) and many if you have some other idea you can also form a society based on that

The hostel facility here is quite good. The food here is quite good compared to other hostel messes. Mess timings are quite feasible for students. The menu is changed every month. Hostel registration is done along with the college. Apart from the Hostel, we have a night canteen which works from 4 PM-3 AM and is inside the Hostel premises

Hostel Fee : INR 17000 per year

Campus Life:

Life on campus here is amazing. There are 3 annual fests namely Effervescence, Asmita and Aproksha. Effervescence is the biggest fest where stars also come. Asmita is a sports event and Aproksha is a tech fest. Books in the library are easily available and library timings are quite good. Classrooms are air-conditioned. Each class have a computer and a projector for class ppts. Every class is provided with a lab in order to avail facilities of the computer. Each sport is available here like baseball, cricket, basketball, and badminton. We have a student activity centre where almost all games are available. For MBA students drive some committees like the finance club, marketing club, pr club, and TPC cell. Other than MBA, we have a gymkhana which is student-driven and is for the welfare of students and looks into every issue for the students.

If you are staying in the hostel of IIIT Allahabad, you have got your pockets full of things you can do. The rooms and bathrooms at IIIT A are large enough with efficient ventilation and adequate cleanliness. The entire infrastructure overall is quite well maintained indeed and the management makes sure that all the hostel residing students are taken proper care of. The mess is quite a popular one here and just like all other engineering colleges, the mess isn’t a very fancy one. But, it offers hygienic and timely food to all and caters to the taste of students from all over the country. Your group of friends also becomes an important and a contributing factor of how your hostel life is and I would say this is the phase of your life that you need to appreciate the most out of everything. It’s quite a big campus with impressive infrastructure. In my opinion, one of the best things that you can get here is internet services. There is unlimited access to the internet 24*7 in all corners of the campus as well as a hostel both through LAN and WiFi. There is a total of 5 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel that ensure smooth accommodation of all the students of IIIT Allahabad. Although there’s little variety in the food available it is still not too bad. For sports and other related activities, there is an option of a swimming pool, badminton courts, squash, snooker, table tennis, lawn tennis, football ground to name a few. The hostel rooms are quite spacious as compared to many other college hostels and they are properly ventilated and lit. There is a bed, a table, a chair, and one almirah provided in every room at the hostel. Since it is a newly constructed campus, the bathrooms and other facilities are quite well maintained. Moreover, cleanliness and hygiene are also paid attention to and the management and the authorities take very good care about it. One of my friends stayed at the IIIT Allahabad Hostel and according to him here are the things that you should take with you to the IIIT Allahabad hostel. Passport size photographs- Keep 5 to 6 copies safely in an envelope. Mark sheets- Xerox copies of your original mark sheets of Class 10 and 12. Have xerox copies of documents like Aadhar card, PAN card, etc. An electric kettle. Hangers to have your clothes in place. A pair of formal outfits- Shirts, trousers, and shoes for formal occasions. Medicines- Some general supplements for cough and cold. Broom to keep your room clean. Other necessities like nail cutter, shaving kit, towels, and bucket-mug, etc. Bottles to store drinking water. Other essentials like toiletries, electronics (earphones, charger, etc), first aid box, etc. This is not just for freshers entering IIIT Allahabad Hostel but for freshers entering hostels in general....Read more

You will find various opinions about the condition of the girl’s hostel in IIIT Allahabad. Following are some highlights of conditions faced by one of my friends who stayed there: The condition of the girl’s hostel is quite good, as compared to other institutes. There are instances of encounters with lizards in the washroom, which makes some students get very scared instantly. For fresher, there are double occupancy rooms in a separate hostel. On average, 3 washrooms and 3 bathrooms are provided for 12 girls in the hostel. There is a terrace on the first floor of the girl’s hostel. A common room for table tennis and gym equipment is provided too in the hostel. The washrooms are washed daily and corridors are mopped once in a while. So, it can be concluded that good cleanliness is maintained, though it depends a lot on the residents. Not just lizards, but also rats and insects are often seen in the hostel sometimes.
