If you are interested in specialized branches i,e; Food, Dyes, Oils, Surface coating, Polymers, and Fibers at ICT(Institute of Chemical Technology) Mumbai, then you should not worry about the scope. There is enough scope for all branches and one should also know that the number of seats in each and every branch is limited. Below stated are some points that may help you in choosing any of these branches

Eligibility:

  • For a Bachelor's degree, one must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 60% from a recognized board or Institute recognized by the UGC/ AICTE. JEE Mains scores are considered for BTech admission.

  • For specialized courses under the M. Tech course, for which the eligibility criteria is to fulfill a B. Tech degree with 60% marks. A further selection is done based on GATE /GPAT score.

Fee Structure:

  • For the 4years course (B. Tech) in any of the specialized courses, the fee structure is estimated to be 3.41 Lakhs with rupees 85,350 as the first-year tuition fee.

  • For the 2years course (M. Tech) in any of the specialized courses, the fee structure is estimated to be 1.42 Lakhs with rupees 70,750 as the first-year tuition fee.

Placement Records:

Food:

  • As per the recent stats, the highest package offered is 9 LPA and the average package is 1.2 LPA.

  • Companies that visit for food technology are General Mills, PepsiCo, Kraft Heinz, and some B2B companies like VKL, PD Navkar, etc.

Dyes:

  • The Average package was noted to be 4.8 Lakhs.

  • Companies like Asian Paints, Black & Veatch, Cipla, DSM SOFT, Galaxy Surfactants, Jacobs, and Nerolac, etc visit the campus.

Oils:

  • 90% of students got placed in top companies.

  • The Highest package was 6 LPA and the average was between 3-4 LPA.

Surface coating:

  • The Average package was noted to be 4.8 Lakhs.

  • Companies like Asian Paints, Cipla, DSM SOFT, Galaxy Surfactants, Jacobs, and Nerolac, etc visit the campus.

Polymers:

  • The average package was noted to be between 2.5 to 3 Lakhs.

  • Not many companies visit the campus and therefore students opt for off-campus placement.

Fibers:

  • Companies like Sterlite Technologies Limited, Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd., etc visit the campus.

  • The majority of students opt for Higher studies and there are no such placement stats present.
