IIIT Naya Raipur

If you are considering pursuing higher education at IIIT Naya Raipur, it's important to evaluate the placement opportunities and other factors to ensure it aligns with your career goals. Here are some points to consider:

  • Placement opportunities: IIIT Naya Raipur has decent placement opportunities, but it's important to note that most of the high-paying placements are outside India. While earning 30 LPA in a developed country may seem attractive, it's important to understand that the cost of living and other factors may offset the high salary. Additionally, these placements may be on a temporary basis, meaning you may have to look for a new job once the project is complete.
  • Private college vs NIT: IIIT Naya Raipur is a private college, which means it may not have the same level of resources and opportunities as a national institute like NIT. NITs are well-established institutes with a strong reputation and better infrastructure, which can provide you with a better learning experience and more opportunities.
  • State government focus: Chhattisgarh lacks strong infrastructure and government support for innovation and startups. The government's focus is more on providing basic necessities to the people and votes banks. Therefore, apart from campus placements, it may be challenging to find opportunities in the state.

In conclusion, while IIIT Naya Raipur may offer decent placement opportunities, it's important to evaluate other factors such as infrastructure, government support for innovation, and reputation before making a decision. Considering a national institute like NIT may be a better option for a more comprehensive learning experience and better opportunities.

Studied at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

IIIT Naya Raipur is the best choice among all of these. Despite all of them having their own ups and downs, IIIT NR has more of the pros to count.

Pros:

  • If you are a computer science or IT enthusiast, IIIT Naya Raipur has state of art infrastructure and great faculty. It nurtures a campus culture that fosters the highest standard of professionalism in you.
  • IIT-NR offers Fractal Academics, you will be taught subjects related to Electronics and Computer Science from the first semester till fourth. You can choose and study subjects related to your field after it.
  • If you want to groom your skills in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Analytics, Data Mining, Deep Learning, and IoT, then this is the right place for you.
  • You can improve your analytical skills by taking up courses like Financial Mathematics and Financial Accounting in your 3rd-year.
  • Placements at IIIT NR are good, you can grab decent packages like Private Tier-2 colleges. The previous batch of students has been placed in companies such as Microsoft, American Express, 1mg, Zeiss, Utopia, Soroco, Deloitte, Capgemini, TCS Digital, and many more.
  • Previous batch students have also gained recognition in competitive examinations. A Batch 2019 student secured All India Rank 11 in GATE 2019 (CSE) and another student of the same batch is now pursuing his MS at Cornell University, USA.

Cons:

The only con you’ll face there is that Chhattisgarh lacks infrastructure and strong government, thus limiting your scope. There is no startup culture and the government’s focus is on poor and vote banks than innovation. You might be solely depending upon the campus placements for your future.

Hence, if campus placements are what you are looking for then this is the right place for you but if you are thinking of your own startup or any help from outside, you better avoid it. Hope these pros and cons might have helped to get a clearer view of what is best for you.
