Which college is better, CUSAT or BIT Sindri?

For core branches BIT Sindri is better. CUSAT focuses on branches such as Environmental Science, Marine, etc. CUSAT fees are a little higher. If you aren’t getting your choice of branch at BITSindri, you can choose CUSAT.

BIT Sindri fees are economical. It has a good student culture, the seniors are very helpful. BIT Sindri placements are excellent. During the recent placement drive, students received an average CTC of INR 4.51 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 10 LPA.

CUSAT Kochi and BIT Sindri both are good colleges and below are some of the deciding factors to choose between these two colleges.

If you want to study CS, IT or Electronics then CUSAT is a more suitable choice with respect to faculty. While placement wise there is not much difference compared to BIT Sindri, so be apparent with the parameter of the selection.
If you want to consider core branches like Electricity, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical then BIT Sindri is fairly good in all parameters. It will be better to go for the college loser to your home.
Don’t give much attention to the Ranking of colleges etc, as they are usually misleading.
Fees wise both are cost-effective but BIT Sindri is apparently more budget-friendly than the CUSAT.
If you want to consider Mining then BIT Sindri is the only option.
There is a big impact of student politics in CUSAT, while in BIT Sindri there is no such matter.
BIT Sindri has a very good student culture, seniors are very kind and helpful after a few months, seniors will always be willing to help and supervise the students.
Though there are some deficiencies the student will enjoy the BIT Sindri hostel life.

One of my friends was qualified for both CUSAT and BIT Sindri and he was also very confused but he did his research, weighed all the Pros and Cons and chose BIT Sindri, and he was extremely satisfied with the decision now.

So consider all the options suitably and take the conclusion carefully. CUSAT is a better option if you are Keralite, otherwise why go to the south when you are not noticing anything exceptional or better compared to the colleges around.
