IMT Ghaziabad is one of the oldest institutes established in the year 1980 and is considered a notable institute among the top B-schools. It is one of the leading providers of Management of Education in the country. It is a highly esteemed college recognized by AACSB.

Some of my friends studied here. According to them, it holds a superior position in the category of B-schools in the country. Here are some facts about the college they shared -

• IMT Ghaziabad also has a distance learning program that allows the enrolled students to build up exceptional knowledge and skills to complement your resume.
• It’s distance learning campus was recently presented with the award for the best B-school in Distance Learning by Dainik Bhaskar.
• The PGDM that is offered by IMT-CDL through the distance learning program.
• It is specially designed to equip the students with comprehensive management education.
• IMTCDL also offers the PGDM (Executive) for corporate and professionals.

You should wisely evaluate your options as well as the facilities provided by your choice of college. your higher education would pave the way to your career therefore be wise while making your decision. First of all IBS Gurgaon does not provide an MBA degree, it provides three courses PGPM (Postgraduate Program in Management), BBA, Ph.D. it is a privately owned college not affiliated by UGC. Hence the college has no right to award an MBA degree instead of this it only awards a certificate of the postgraduate program in management.

• IBS Admissions Process:

Students are admitted to the MBA/PGPM programs through the IBSAT scores. It is an online test i.e., a computer-based examination with multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam is two hours. The questions are posed in such a manner to test the quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, vocabulary, data adequacy, analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension skills of the candidate.

• Placement:

Placements here in MBA/PGPM were decent for the 2019 batch. The highest salary package offered was around 16 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 6-8 LPA. Various good companies of Gurugram and Big 4s visit the campus every year majorly for finance, marketing, and HR. Banks and Insurance companies also visit the college to hire students.

• Fee:

The fee for MBA/PGPM is around 8 lakhs. This includes tuition and other fees for each semester. Nearly 4 lakhs per year. The charges of foreign tours are not included in this fee. We can submit the fee in 5 installments.

• Faculty:

The faculties for MBA/PGPM are good and have great knowledge of their subjects. They are always ready to help. But there is less number of permanent faculty, most of the faculty is on a contract/outsourcing basis.

IBS enlarges the MBA/PGPM Program with soft skills which gives a unique opportunity for the students to develop, enhance their personality, and communication and presentation skills. In addition to the core and specialization courses offered in the MBA/PGPM Program, IBS offers a summer internship program that forms a unique component of education at IBS.

Comparing two institutions helps one to get a better idea. IBS Gurgaon and Lovely Professional University both are outstanding institutions for business administration in India. IBS Gurgaon is UGC approved, ICFAI affiliated college. LPU is a self- financed university in Punjab approved by UGC, CAO and AIU.

Course offered:

IBS Gurgaon offers only one course which is a 2 years master diploma in business administration (PGDMA) enrolling 600+ students every year. LPU offers nearly 300 courses out of which 8 are masters in business administration.

Ranking:

IBS Gurgaon ranks 2nd among the 40 best business schools of excellence in India by digital mailers. It is also ranked 3rd among the North Indian business schools in 2019. As per data released by the Human Development Ministry of India, LPU ranks 2nd among the business schools in India.

Hostel facilities:

In IBS Gurgaon, there is no hostel facility but the administrative staff will help the students to find PGs and hostels near the campus which will generally cost 8K to 15K on average. LPU has three categories of residence. They are standard rooms ranging from six- seaters to single-seater rooms. The apartment is ranging from, four- seaters to single-seater and dormitory is ranging from nine- seaters to four- seaters. The fee in average for all these categories falls between 40K to 1.55Lks.
