What is re-registration in IGNOU?

VT
Vinod Tiwari Posted On : October 17th, 2022
Studied at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

It is the process of applying to IGNOU for the next semester online or offline and paying the amount specified by IGNOU based on the degree. Re-registration allows you to enroll in classes for the following semester to complete your degree.

There was also an offline process, but that letter was closed, so I'm not sure if they're still accepting the DD at the counter (RC) or not. I prefer to take online steps because they are simple and convenient. You can also do it offline if your study center's regional center is still accepting applications at the counter.

Also, if you do not fill out the re-registration form this semester for any reason, you can easily pay in the following semester.

There would be no problem if you returned for 6 months. So don't do it. Costs vary depending on the courses you choose.

I missed my IGNOU assignment dates and the exams for the last session. Can I appear for the next session without reapplying?

AR
Amrita Rathod Posted On : October 17th, 2022
Studied at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

You will receive the study material once you have enrolled in the year (first, second, or any as per the course) with the list of subjects. You are already aware of this.

IGNOU accepts assignments twice a year, which is required to take the course exam that session. Once in May and once in September. For the assignment, the exams are in June-July and December, respectively.

Every set of assignments for any subject (check the title page of the pdf file) is valid for one year. If you missed the exams in May, you can retake them in December if you submitted the same set in September.

If you missed the December exam as well, you must complete and submit a new set of assignments. Every new year, a new set is released; it is up to you to decide when he or she can take the exams and thus fill out the exam form after submitting the assignments on time. Please refer to the assignment title page to double-check the dates for that specific year.

How do I apply for a foreign language course in DU?

S
Saloni Posted On : October 10th, 2022
Bsc.(H)Mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women

Admission to foreign language courses at Delhi University is relatively simple. You must investigate which colleges offer such courses and which languages are available. You should make a list of colleges that you will be comfortable in based on your requirements and the faculty.

Once you have a list, go to each college's website and look for all of the information there. The date of form distribution, the application deadline, the fee structure, time slots, and other pertinent information.

You can fill out the form online and then keep checking the site for the list. Once the list is published, you must check your name to see if it is on it, and if it is, you must go to the respective college with all of your documents in hard copy. They'll check your documents, and if everything checks out, you'll be seated.

After you've been admitted, you must pay the fees online within a certain number of days. Following payment, you will receive an email confirming your registration as a language student.

The forms are usually available in June and July, and there is a minimum fee for the form.

SL

Research Scholar, M.Phil in English Literature, University of Calicut

At Calicut University, to be eligible to apply for a post-graduate course, one must have completed the undergraduate course and provide proof of completion in the form of a Degree Certificate. A Provisional Certificate would suffice as well.

If you are awaiting the results of the Supplementary exams, you will be unable to produce the Degree Certificate and thus will be ineligible to apply. This is based on the assumption that Supplementary Exams indicate that you did not pass a specific paper.

However, if the exams are Improvement Exams, the situation is different.

What happens after giving the CAT exams? When do we fill the forms for colleges? What is the whole scene with converting the calls?

AR
Anirban Rege Posted On : December 8th, 2021
PGDM from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) (2017)

For applying in the colleges, you need to visit every college you want to seek admission into. Check which colleges meet your requirements. Select the Top 50 colleges.

Each college will have a different deadline for applications. You can apply for the IIMs while applying for CAT itself. But, you have to fill the forms of other colleges, depending on their deadlines. Make sure you are aware of the dates of all the colleges you want to apply to.

Once the CAT results are out, the colleges you have applied to will shortlist you on the basis of your CAT score as well as your overall academic performance. After that you will be called for the second stage of the selection process.

This stage varies from college to college and will include: Essay writing, Group discussion, submission of Statement of Purpose, Case Analysis, Personal Interview, Extempore.

Based on your overall performance (CAT score, interview, GD, past acads, work experience,  etc.), the college will select you for admission.

This comprises the entire process.
