ECE at Thapar University is more Hardware orientated. You may find yourself dealing with semiconductors for about 3 to 3.5 years. In addition to this, will be the onslaught of programming languages and a little portion of database and networking.

The placement rate is an amazing 99% for most of the departments. The highest package offered this year is 43 LPA and a total of 970 students got placed.
The faculty of the ECE department at Thapar University is extremely good. My answer is based upon my cousin’s experience at the University.
The faculty to student ratio of the university is quite good. The university has skilled and highly educated and experienced faculty members. Most of the faculty members are well-versed in their Respective Fields.

Students enrolled in core field branches and those who wish to get placed in the IT industry have many opportunities available at the University.
You will be offered many resources along with the guidance of faculty members for research purposes. Several Research papers have been published by the students and professors of Thapar University in past.
The laboratories of the university have advanced equipment and instruments. The overall atmosphere of research at the university is pretty good. Many workshops, conferences, and seminars are also held at the university which can prove to be advantageous to the students.
One of my friends had been in the very first batch of B.E Electronics and Computer branch. I might be able to share some facts about the college and the course which can be useful.
If the students are not a big fan of coding cultures that the CS branch usually offers nor good at ECE setups then they would not regret getting into this branch. In the end, the placement will only be availed by the students with their hard work and efforts.
