The institute has a placement percentage of 85% in the field of Civil Engineering. Students in these core engineering programs have received an average annual salary package of 15.8 lakhs per annum. The highest being 43.3 lakhs per annum. Companies like Tata Motors, TATA Steel, TATA Advanced Systems, L&T Pvt. Ltd., L&T Construction, etc have visited the campus for placement drive.

So a civil Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar will be better for future to secure a job than Biotechnology from IIT Delhi.
